Rhaenyra, Daemon and the children have dinner with the king, things get a little out of hand. A little bit of smut in the second part of the chapter. I hope you guys like it 🥰

1 week later.

Rhaenyra had been a little surprised when her father had sent a maid to ask if she, Daemon, and the children would have supper with him. It had also surprised her that he had asked instead of ordering them and had also promised that the queen would not be present. She was not sure what had happened after her last talk with her father, but Alicent had not gone near the children since then. Rhaenyra had made sure the Kingsguard knew she would get rid of them if her siblings were harmed again. She knew it was not fair since Alicent was the queen, but she was not able to be with the children at all times, especially with how busy she was. She tried to spend as much time as possible with them, but could not watch them all the time. She needed to make sure the guards would do their duty, especially since the children were under her care by order of the king.

"You look very handsome." Aegon's lip was a lot better, the injury had not been that bad and it had almost disappeared. She had made sure to give Aegon extra hugs and kisses, reassuring him that she loved him and would never hurt him. She kissed the top of his head. "You will be a very handsome man one day and many ladies will fight for your affections."

"I will always love you most of all." She smiled at his words. He went quiet a few seconds later and the look on his face became a bit more serious. "What is the matter?"

He sighed and gave her a pleading look. "Do we have to go to supper with the king?"

"It will only be for a little while and your mother will not be there." He still looked a bit afraid and Rhaenyra picked him up and sat him on her lap. "Daemon and I will be there, nothing will happen to you. You trust us to protect you, do you not?"

Aegon nodded and played with the lace of her sleeve. "Alicent is mean and she does not like me very much."

"I am sorry." She was not sure what to say about that. What could she say that would make things better? "But she is the one missing out, because you, Helaena, and Aemond are very special children."

Aegon just sighed and gave a small shake of his head. "I wish you were my mother."

She hugged her brother, kissing his forehead. "I am, my love. In every way that matters, I am your mother and I will always protect you no matter what. I would burn the world for you and your siblings."

He wrapped his arms around her waist and laid his head on her chest. "Does that mean I can call you mama?"

She smiled and kissed his silver curls. "I would be the luckiest woman in the world if you were to give me that title."

His hands squeezed her tightly and she hugged him back, hating the way he had been treated. She was upset that her father had not punished Alicent, but she should not have expected any differently.

She finally let go of Aegon when Daemon entered her chambers, Aemond in his arms and Helaena walking beside him playing with a small centipede Daemon had helped her find in the gardens. Her uncle looked at Aegon who let out an annoyed sigh before nodding his head and her uncle kissed her quickly on the lips. It amused her the way Daemon would seek Aegon and Aemond's approval before kissing her when the children were present. She knew he was doing it to show the boys they could trust him and she was thankful for it.

They made it to her father's chambers without encountering anyone unpleasant. Her father was already sitting at the table when they made their entrance. The king looked happy to see them and immediately tried to start a conversation.
