Ok, we are almost at the end of this story.

We see Viserys's point of view at what happened. There is smut in the second part of the chapter. Daemon and Rhaenyra received news from Kings Landing. I hope you guys like it 🥰

2 weeks later.

"My husband and I have decided to return home." Viserys tried not to look as hurt as he felt, but Rhaenys's words made him feel even more alone. "We will return to the capital when there are important small council meetings, but we need to take care of our own family and our home."

Viserys simply nodded, not sure what else he was supposed to say. Rhaenys and Corlys were not the first ones to abandon him. Lyonel Strong had decided to leave, saying that he wanted to be closer to his son and grandsons. Some of the other lords who had worked with Rhaenyra in her projects had also left, following after his daughter, not wanting to abandon what they had started.

He had been sure that he would be devastated when the guards had informed him that Alicent had appeared dead in her cell , her throat had been cut from ear to ear. The first thought that came to his head was that Daemon was the one to blame, but then he remembered that his brother had been with Rhaenyra all day , they had been busy packing and getting the children ready for their move to Dragonstone. He knew for a fact that Daemon had not been the one to kill Alicent. There were so many people who had been against his wife due to everything she had done against Rhaenyra and her children that any of them could have done it. Viserys wished that he could say he was heartbroken by Alicent's death, but the truth was that he was mostly relieved. His daughter had been right , Alicent had hated Rhaenyra and did not want her to become queen.

After his wife's death, he immediately sent a letter to Daemon and Rhaenyra begging them both to return and letting them know that Alicent was dead. He had been sure that his daughter would return since the woman who she considered a danger to her children was gone for good. His daughter had simply sent a letter back, telling him that she would not return , that she would remain in Dragonstone until after his death. Viserys had been heartbroken by her response and had tried to appeal to his brother, begging him to convince his daughter to return. Daemon had told him that he would not move a finger to help him, saying that he was the only one to blame for what had happened for choosing others over his family.

Rhaenys had been the only family he had left and she had left him too. He had no one , he was completely alone. He had not felt so devastated since Aemma's death and he had no one to blame but himself. This was not the way he had wanted his life to turn out.

1 week later.

Rhaenyra stood in front of her night table as she finished putting on the scented oil her maid had brought after her bath. She was enjoying being back in Dragonstone, things were much more relaxed and she did not have to impress people and worry about what they believed. Her children were much more happy and she and Daemon had a lot more time with them. They had gone flying, had picnics, and spent a lot of time together. Daemon had been training with their children every single morning and sometimes in the afternoons. Her children were much more happy and they were enjoying their time in Dragonstone. Rhaenyra was happy that her younger children were having the opportunity to have some peace and enjoy their ancestral seat.

"Mmhh..." She jumped when her husband's arms wrapped around her waist from behind and he buried his face on the side of her neck. "You smell so good."

"I just had a bath." She tilted her head to the side, her eyes closing when Daemon started kissing and licking her neck. "I thought you were with Maelys."
