2 days later.

"Princess Rhaenyra's shelter has grown even more in the past few years, is not just a shelter any longer, is also a teaching house and most of thewomen have already learned a skill." Corlys tapped a finger on the table as he stared at the king. "The economy in the city is much better and the women in the shelter are bringing in gold, which means the crown does not have to spend as much gold as before. People from all over Westeros are coming to the capital because of the help she offers."

"That is good news." Her father turned to her with a smile. "You never told me things were going so well with the shelter."

"I did," Her voice was even and respectful, even when she wanted to scream at him. "I have been turning in reports to you, Lord Corlys, and Lord Lyonel every moon for the past four and ten years."

Her father simply blinked and then cleared his throat. "Well, I am happy things are going well."

"Things are going so well that other regions have asked to speak with you." Rhaenyra frowned at Lyonel, not sure what he was getting at. "Some of the lords wish to build a shelter in their regions since so many people are leaving their regions to come to the capital because of you."

Rhaenyra was still not sure what he was saying. "Because of me?"

"Yes, princess." The man's smile was sweet. "Many women had left the regions they were born in since they heard everything you have been doing for the women of Kings Landing. That is why you've had so many more women coming to your shelter for the past ten years. Everyone across Westeros is aware they can get an education and learn a skill while being under your protection. Women are also happy to know that you have been protecting all the women and children in the city , people are still talking about what happened so many years ago with the man you had whipped on the streets for hurting Lady Brise and Princess Mansy."

She was not sure what the lords were expecting her to do. "They want me to help them build shelters?"

"I believe they want your guidance in running them," Lyonel explained. "They want to know how to make their shelters as successful and efficient as yours."

"Of course, I will speak to them." If the lords were interested in her projects that meant they would support her if she helped them. It would help that she would have the chance to speak to them and spend some time helping them. "Just have them bring me what their biggest issues are and what they want help with."

Lyonel seemed pleased she had accepted. "I will let them know."

Her father had been looking between both of them and opened his mouth to say something when the doors to the small council chambers burst open and one of the knights ran in. The man was out of breath, looking exhausted and a bit pale. Everyone just stared at the man who was taking large gulping breaths as he attempted to speak and nothing came out.

It took a few seconds before the man was able to straighten and get the words out. "Ser Gwayne Hightower attacked Princess Visenya at the beach. He..."

Rhaenyra did not hear anything else, before the man was done speaking she was already on her feet and running down the hall. Daemon gained on her quickly, passing her by as he ran as fast as he could until she could not see him any longer.Rhaenyra could only hope that her daughter was not hurt. She was going to kill Gwayne Hightower for daring to attack her daughter, even her father would not be able to save him this time.
