5 years later.

Rhaenyra entered the chambers and frowned as she looked around. Milla appeared and immediately bowed when she saw her.

"I am sorry, princess." The maid was carrying linen and gave her an unsure smile. "I did not see when you arrived."

"Do not worry about it." She looked around once more , just to make sure before looking back at Milla. "Where is my daughter?"

"The princess said she was going to the gardens."

Rhaenyra smiled at Milla before leaving and heading to the gardens. She should have known her daughter would be in the gardens , she loved spending time there. Living in Dragonstone these past few years had been very beneficial for her marriage and her children. She and Daemon were closer than ever , their three oldest children thrived and were happy, while her two youngest children were also happy and loved. They had been able to keep working in Kings Landing, Rhaenyra traveled to the capital several times every moon and made sure her projects for the small folk had grown and they were now able to help more people.

She made her way to the gardens and smiled when she saw her daughter sitting under one of the large dark trees. "I should have known you would be here. Why are you so alone?"

"I was just reading." Helaena smiled as she showed her the book she had been reading. "Papa gifted me this book with stories from Old Valyria. I really like it."

"I am glad you are enjoying it." Rhaenyra cupped her swollen belly as she sat next to her daughter and kissed the side of her head. "I came to talk to you about your name day."

Her daughter shook her head. "You do not have to go to any trouble , it is just a name day , I will have others."

"First of all, you are never any trouble." She ran her hands over one of her daughter's braids. "And is not just any name day, you will be turning nine in a fortnight and it should be celebrated ."

Helaena had changed very much since they arrived in Dragonstone years before. Her daughter had only returned to Kings Landing once in the pastfive years. Helaena still had her periods where she would become silent or say things that did not make too much sense, but she was not as quiet as before. Her daughter was a happy and talkative girl, she enjoyed spending time with her brothers and going dragon riding with her and Daemon. She even enjoyed talking to people from the village nearby. Rhaenyra was so happy every time she saw her behaving like girls her own age and when she saw her daughter laughing and playing with her brothers and other children. She did not want Helaena to become like the woman she had seen in her dreams, sad and alone, misunderstood. She wanted her daughter to be happy and to have a fulfilled life, whatever path she chose.

Her daughter gave her a small smile. "I do not want you to go to any trouble. You are heavy with child and you should not be taking any additional stress."

"Helaena, you are my only daughter and I will not allow your name day to pass without notice." She looked at the girl for a few moments before giving her a questioning look. "Unless you do not wish for a feast. I do not want to do anything that will make you uncomfortable."

Helaena simply smiled before running a hand over Rhaenyra's swollen belly. "I know you would never make me do something I do not wish. I am happy to have a feast , as long as you do not do too much."

"I will be perfectly fine." She was excited about her daughter's name day. "I will have the kitchens prepare all your favorite foods , and I willdecorate the castle with all your favorite flowers."
