1 month since the separation

Reena has been living out her dreams this last month. She has been getting into architecture and even had a few meetings with NGO's to construct buildings like school's and hospitals. She was so busy with her new life that it was very occasional that her mind slipped back to Rocky.

She did miss him, but she knew she had to let him go in order to live her life. Reena was sitting in her living room watching some tv when someone knocked on the door. She opened it to find her dad's lawyer.

"Uncle what are you doing here?" she asked surprised.

"Reena my dear, sorry for showing up unannounced but I'm here to discuss your father's will. I was waiting for you to return from wherever you had gone" the man said and she let him in.

"I had totally forgotten about Appa's will" she said and the man nodded understandingly. He pulled out a letter from his brief case and began reading it out.

"This house including all your fathers other properties are written under your name. Half off his assets are going to charity and the other half will be transferred to you" he started and she nodded. Maybe she could use those funds to help her with her building projects.

"And your now a shareholder of KGF" he finished and Reena's eyes widened.

"Sorry?" she replied shocked.

"Your father, he was a shareholder of KGF. Now after his death all his contracts are signed under your name. That makes you a new shareholder of KGF. You get 5% assets" the lawyer said and she sighed rubbing her forehead.

She wished to have no ties with KGF now she was made a shareholder. That means she will have to attend events, meeting, gatherings. She would have to go back to KGF. She couldn't move on with her life if she kept going back there.

"Is there anyway i can transfer the shares into anyone else name, i just don't want to be involved with KGF. Its a dangerous place" she said and he shook his head.

"I'm sorry my dear but your dad has clearly wrote that the shares can only be written under your name and not anyone else" he said and they talked a little longer before he left.

Reena was busy in her thoughts. She was scared that if she ever saw Rocky again she would want to run back to him and she didn't want that. She was going to try her best to avoid him as much as possible even though that would be much harder now that she is a shareholder in KGF.

Rocky on the other hand was not doing well in the slightest. He had become a monster. Cold hearted and ruthless, just as he was before he met Reena. His loving warm side had disappeared as soon as she vanished from his life. But only he knew that this angry facade was just a cover up for the emptiness he felt inside.

He sat in his room, whiskey cup in hand. His hair was dishevelled, due to constantly running a hand through it. His eyes were red and swollen. He had spent every second of every day thinking about her. He had no idea how she was doing and it pained him not to be able to hear her beautiful voice. Just then Chacha walked in.

"Chacha" his voice quivered slightly.

Chacha sighed sadly walking up to Rocky and snatching the glass out of his hand.

"What happened my son?" he asked sitting next to him.

"Why does this always happen to me Chacha"  he whispered.

"Why does everyone i love always leave me. What did i do so bad that i don't deserve happiness in my life" Rocky spoke.

"I know, but it isn't your fault my son. She will come back to you one day" Chacha said patting his shoulder.

"She is a shareholder in KGF now. So ill have to see her every meeting, gathering, event" Rocky said and Chacha smiled.

"See isn't that a good thing. You can see her again" he asked and Rocky shook his head.

"If i see her again, ill want her back and i wont let go. She has gone to live her life and i cant stop her. Its best if i don't see her" Rocky said.

"Well don't forget you still have a promise to fulfil. Don't let her distract you" Chacha said.

Rocky decided that he would try his level best to try and forget Reena. Even if he knew that it was impossible, he would still try because he had other priorities and thinking about Reena would just divert his focus. But at the same time he knew being here would just have her soak in his thoughts all day. So he went to get some fresh air.

He drove his car, speeding through the night until he reached a small flower stall. He walked over and bought a bunch of flowers. The bright colours and floral scent reminded him much of Reena and her bright nature.

He got back into his car and continued driving until he reached a small secluded building. It was empty inside and he walked in with the flowers in hand. He remembered the first time he came here, not so long ago with her. He remembered how he felt then and how he does now. Broken. He placed the flowers next to him and knelt down clasping his hands together.

"Hello, i know I'm probably the person you expect least to be here but i need some guidance. I know i bet with Reena that id never come here but I'm here to listen to her advice. She told me that you give her peace and I'm very much in need of that right now. " he started.

Just then footsteps began approaching the building but he was so busy in his prayer to pay attention.

"Reena told me that you always give your toughest challenges to your strongest soldiers. But I'm tired, I'm tired of fighting. If that means giving up then i do. I just want peace. I've always lived my life by my own means but if your really there then i hope you will guide me in the right path. And if I'm meant to be with Reena, you will guide me back to her." he finished and opened his eyes, wiping the lone tear that trickled down his face.

He then made his way to the picture in the corner. Rocky lit up the surrounding candles and placed the flowers next to the picture.

"Hello aunty my name is Rocky. I don't know if Reena has ever told you about me but I'm in love with your daughter. I know as a parent what you must be thinking. He is a gangster, a criminal, he hurt her. But i promise that ill give that all up if it means to be with her. I let her go and now i cant stand to live my life without her. Reena told me that you were quite religious. I hope you can put in a word with God for me. Please if I'm meant for Reena, bring her back to me" he said and opened his eyes, blowing out the candles.

He stood up sighing before making his way to the door. Reena who was watching the whole scene unfold, covered her mouth, blocking her light sobs and she ducked by the side of the building, away from Rocky's eye.

Rocky had left now and she emerged from the side of the building. She had won the bet. She knew he would come here one day but she never thought she would be the reason why. She could feel her heart breaking as he poured his heart out to her mother.

Maybe her being here was a sign by God, that they were meant to be but she couldn't show herself to him. She could hear just by his voice how broken he was and it pained her to see him like this. It took every muscle in her body to restrain her from running into his arms. It was like her life was on a scale.

One side was her life as an architect. Her independence, freedom. The other side was her life with Rocky. A life with love and happiness. For the first in her life she was greedy, selfish. She couldn't choose. For now she would live her life the way she wanted and if it was meant to be, she knew she would be reunited with him one day.

hey guys how was it. i hope you guys liked this chapter and dont forget to vote and comment. also i rewatched KGF 2 yesterday and i noticed something quite cool. a lot of the times in the movie Rocky and Reena match outfits. idk if its dont on purpose like when they first meet in KGF 1 they are both wearing black and gold, when they meet in KGF 2 they are both wearing all black and when they both die they are wearing white. idk i just thought it was quite cool how they pay attention to all the small details when it comes to costuming. anyways ill see you guys next time....
