Reena nervously bit her nails, staring outside the car window as they drove to KGF. She was about to attend her first meeting as a shareholder. After the seeing Rocky at the temple a few weeks ago she tried her best to avoid as many meetings as possible, but with so many deals lined up she had to come at some point.
She had constructed a plan in her head. She would go to the meeting, discuss the shares, then leave as soon as possible. She was hoping that she doesn't have to run into Rocky even though he will most likely be present at the meeting.
The car finally pulled up to the familiar mansion. Reena held in her breathe, the anticipation killing her slowly. She stepped out, dusting off the invisible dirt from her skirt and brushed her hands through her hair.
"This way madam" the guard began guiding her to the meeting hall.
Reena walked inside the dark, eerily lit hall and saw all the other partners waiting.
"What are you doing here Reena?" Andrew's asked as she took her seat.
"I'm the new shareholder in replacement of my father" she replied and he nodded.
They all waited in a deafening silence for a few minutes until the door flung open. Reena screwed her eyes shut and took a deep breath. Her heart was pounding out of her chest. However the voice she heard cause her took shoot her eyes open.
"Good evening everyone. Thank you all for attending today" Abhi said taking a seat next to Andrew's.
Rocky's normal chair was left unoccupied and Reena's curiosity peaked.
"I have a few important matters to discuss. As your all aware of Rocky's departure" he was cut of by Reena.
"Departure?" she said a bit to loud and all the attention in the room turned to her.
She shrunk her shoulders in embarrassment as all the eyes were on her.
"Ill speak with you after Reena" He said to her and she meekly nodded.
"As i was saying, Rocky has changed the percentage of shares received. Andrew's and Guru Pandian, you will continue to receive 5 % shares. However miss Desai, you will now receive 25% shares" Abhi said and Guru Pandian slammed the table in anger.
"How is that fair. She is just a replacement for her father, and she will receive more shares than the people who have been loyal to KGF for over 20 years" he screamed in anger and Reena hung her head low.
"Its Rocky's decision how he splits the shares. Nobody is to question him" Abhi said and Guru Pandian laughed like a maniac.
"Of course, how could i forget. If you sleep around with the sultan, you get special treatment" he said staring at Reena who felt her face go red in a mix of humiliation and anger.
"Hey don't you dare speak to or about my sister like that ever again. Just wait until Rocky hears about this and your finished" Abhi screamed and the room fell silent.
Reena turned to Abhi giving him a small smile of appreciation and he nodded his head smiling back. The meeting quickly finished and it was just Reena and Abhi left. They walked through the enchanting garden that covered the back of the mansion.
"What did you want to talk to me about?" she asked turning to him.
"Reena, there is no easy way to say this but Rocky has left" he said and Reena furrowed her brows.
"What do you mean by left?" she asked and he sighed.
"He left India. I don't know when or if he will ever come back but i just felt like you should know" he said sadly and Reena felt her airflow stop for a good minute. she was speechless.
"Oh ok" she finally choked.
"He also told me to give this to you" Abhi said and handed her a note.

"He is unreal" Reena whispered folding the note and placing it in her pocket.
"Its only because he loves you so much"
"I know he does" she replied back.
"I just wish i could give him what he deserves" she painfully said.
"Don't worry about him Reena, he will be fine. He has a lot to accomplish so he will be busy enough with his life" Abhi said.
"Yeah. Also i was wondering, if i could build some schools or hospitals here. I remember having a conversation about this with Rocky once a long time ago. They could really use the help" she said and he nodded.
"Of course, ill make sure to tell Rocky about that. I'm sure he will be more than happy" he exclaimed.
"Also could you tell him i said thank you, for everything" she whispered and he sighed smiling.
"Don't worry Reena i will" he said and she took her leave, returning back to her house.
Reena was ecstatic about her new ideas to renovate in KGF. She had gotten the funds and was eager to meet with builders and people who could help her with her project. However the more time that passed, the more the weight of the situation settled.
She may never see Rocky again. She had no idea what corner of the earth he was in right now. She had no possible way of reaching him. For some reason that news made her feel a sort of fear. Not for herself but for him. That he was out there somewhere all alone.
Even though that's how he lived most of his life, alone. Fighting for himself, she knew that he was slowly becoming accustomed to his life in KGF. Now to hear that he was suddenly all by himself made her feel anxious.
Abhi had told her not to worry about him but she couldn't help herself. That's when she remembered his amulet. He gave it to her before he left to KGF and she still had it. He said that his mother tied it on him so that he was always safe and protected but now he didn't have it, she did.
She ran to her drawer and fiddled about until she spotted the familiar black thread. She picked it up and touched the cold metal. Reena held the thread close to her chest.
"I don't know where you are but i hope that your safe. As long as i wear this amulet i hope you will be protected by god" she said and tied the amulet around her neck.
