Chapter 20

Reena awoke feeling more refreshed then ever, the Dubai morning sun glistening against her skin. She drew back her curtains and admired the view of the quiet beach and blue waves that danced on the sand. She got ready in her sage green skirt and black silk blouse. 

Reena couldn't help the excitement that was bubbling in her body, she was eager to know about Rocky's plans. She knew he was a man of mystery but her desperation was getting the best of her. And as if on cue, Rocky knocked on her door. 

She opened it to see Rocky wearing black trousers, a white dress shirt that stuck to his body, carving out his perfect muscles. His hair was messier than usual, a few strands sitting on his forehead and a thin gold chain sitting on his chest. He gave Reena a small smile before extending his veiny hand for her to hold. Reena smiled closing the door behind her before grabbing his hand and walking down to the entrance. His cold rings slotted perfectly between her fingers. 

"So what are we doing today?" she asked not even disguising the excitement in her voice. 

Rocky chuckled before replying "Well its meant to be a surprise"

"Rocky.." she whined.

He laughed before slowly blindfolding her. 

"What's going on. Why am i blindfolded?" she asked.

"Do you trust me?" he asked and she nodded. 

He took her hand in his and began walking. They were walking for a few minutes before they stopped. He slowly turned her around and undid her blindfold. 

Reena's eyes squinted, adjusting to the sunlight but what laid in front on them had her eyes twinkling in happiness. The beautiful blue ocean and crystal sand. 

"Omg its beautiful" she squealed hugging Rocky who wrapped his arm around her waist gently lifting her of the ground. 

"Not as beautiful as you" he whispered.

In the middle of the beach there was a small table set up with food and drinks and it was decorated with stunning flowers that adorned the seats. 

"Come" he said and led her to the table. They both sat down and Reena began staring at all the foods on the table. 

Rocky noticed that she kept on staring at something in particular. The cupcakes. 

"Don't be shy to take anything you want. This is all for you sweetheart" he said and she reached over to the chocolate cupcake immediately digging in. 

"Do you want some?" she mumbled handing him a cupcake but he shook his head. 

"Why not?" she questioned. 

"I'm not really a sweet person. I don't like cupcakes" he said and she gasped. 

"How can you not like cupcakes. There the best food in the world" she said and he laughed. 

"You know one time i read a book and the two main characters were actually on a beach date, very similar to this. But in the end he ended up proposing to her"

"Do you want me to propose to you?" he teased grabbing her hand from across the table. 

She immediately looked away as her face grew red. 

"No i didn't mean it like that" she whispered and he smiled. 

"Wanna go to the water?" he asked and she nodded enthusiastically grabbing his arm and leading him to the sky blue sea of water. 

Reena wasted no time before running into the ocean.

"Whoa that's cold" she said recoiling her feet back turning to Rocky who seemed to be immune to the cold cause he walked right in to the water, letting it drench until his ankles. It was nice to hear the birds in the sky tweeting and the mellow breeze of the ocean as they stood hand in hand.
