Fate watched with judgmental look as the pair's bond grew stronger. The sight filled them with both anger and inexplicable fear. Fate didn't like change, everything had to happen by bending to they will. Goth should never have existed and Palette should have saved the Multiverse on his own, before it turned against him and everything crumbled again, starting the next round of the game.

And as fun as both of them were to play with, Fate wasn't blind and knew that unpredictable factors like their relationship were a double edged sword. Now that the team was formed, they could have kill both of them, but Fate wanted to see how, in the face of the truth about Palette, everyone would turn against him again. A wide grin spread across Fates face, waiting for the moment when they will kill him. Goth was just a glitch and had no power to protect him from everything. And in that moment, when his soul is finally crushed by the loss, the victory will be theirs.

– Foolish of them to think I won't take them with me – Error/Goth darkly seeing through they plans.

– The power of emotions can take on terrifying size – Nightmare/Palette never doubting for a second that Siren would wipe out the entire Multiverse for them without hesitation. After all, he has wiped out millions of worlds for the sake of the Multiverse over the millenniums. If he wanted something, he fought for it with fearsome persistence and patience.

"But if I had said no, he would respected it, valuing the right of free will and decision more than anything else..." Star finding solace in the knowledge that he doesn't have to fight for that too. The weight of his words and his will was always taken into account by his chosen one.
