Drac, Mavis, Jonny and Vlad joined me on my journey to the hotel.

"I know I offered Drac to come along, but why do you all have to come?" I asked, not feeling well at so much company. "Don't worry, we are all vampires, we can come along" assured me Vlad. Only Mavis shared my worry, "But Jonny might be a problem." He frowned, "We are married!" "That doesn't change the fact that you are a human...married or not it will not stop them to drink you dry!" I yelled at him. He turned silent, as all the others followed his example.

I wonder how Norris will react to my guests, I thought, while starring out the window.

We are almost there. By train it will take an hour to arrive at the hills. From there, it is another hour of walking to the place. Normally no human dares to get there in the middle of the night. With a cape and an attached hood, I got out of the train, followed by the others. After a few minutes, we met other black figures, walking into the same direction. Drac and his family looked in surprise, as one of them was wrapping an arm around my shoulder, "N/A long time no sees. What brings you here?"

"Hey Laurence, Norris asked me to work for him at the hunt ball."

"Really, can you give me some advice for the ladies?"

I smirked, "Why, are you joining the ball this time?"

"You bet!"

From the corner of my eye, another figure appeared, "I hope my son is not blowing this!"

"Good evening Count Mortimer!" I greeted the man. He was one of the eldest vampires that came to the hotel for years. He greeted me back like a proper gentleman. For his son was it a shock, "How come he is nice to you? He normally hates humans."

"Apparently I am not normal."

"N/A!!!" now I was surrounded by countless vampire ladies, "We missed you hun, where were you?!"

"I was living a normal human life girls" the whole group started to laugh. "You and a normal life? Dream on!"

I hate to admit it, they were right. Since I was a little girl I was raised by vampires. It took me years till I understood other humans and their way of life. It was a culture shock as I realized that I was not like them. I broke my legs as I tried to fly, assuming that I wasn't ready yet. I hunted down mice and ate them raw, feeling sick afterwards. I couldn't do anything like the others could. Shape shifting, lifting heavy objects, biting things, no fangs. Vampires that came to the hotel accepted me like I was and some younger ones pretended that I was a vampire. Norris gave me a cape and fake fangs to make me feel normal in this place. It all stopped as the very ancient vampires came for a visit. They had tried to kill me. On that day, Norris made the decision for me to live with other humans, as much he didn't want it. It was the best for me. Only on the hunt ball I was allowed to return. The younger vampires as well as the older ones are pleased to see me. The ancient ones stayed away from such occasions...thank god.

I faced the vampire ladies, "As you can see I managed it somehow!"

One of them giggled, "No matter how much you try to change it. You will always be a part of us."

Another girl gave me a bone-crushing hug, "You will always be our little baby sis and no one can take that away from us!"

No matter how long I stay away, I always have a place I can go back to. I was moved that they still accepted me as one of their own. Drac and his family watched with a smiled at the reunion. Dracula was moved as I began to cry, while the girls gave me a group hug. From the distance they heard a growl.

"Joey is still here?" I asked, wiping away my tears.

To make sure the hotel is saved by humans, they have a large Cerberus protecting the place. He barked with joy as he smelled my scent. Back then when I used to live there, I had to take care of the dog. He lowered all three heads, for me to stroke.

"You haven't lost your touch sweetheart!" I heard from the distance. My eyes began to water again.

"Welcome back love."

I ran over to hug him tight, "I missed you...dad."
