13. How embarrassing

He was so happy to see me after four years, "I hope you been well, living with humans."

"Don't worry it is all fine. So straight to business, what do you need me for?"

He chuckled, "Straight forwards as ever. I need you for the jobs that only you can do."

I didn't know what he meant, until a list was brought up. He began, "First of all, you take care of the guys for flirting advice and for the feeding and grooming of our 'pets' and you are in charge." When he said 'pets', he means the dragon from the sauna, the Cerberus in the garden and the gargoyle on the roof. I grew up with them and I was the one responsible to take care of them. "But why do I have to take care of the guys? Normally I do the girls. Why the sudden change?"

"They need help from a pro."

"I am single myself!"

He moved his eyebrows up and down, "Not for long."

I know where he is going with this and stopped him quickly, "Anyway, may I introduce you to the Dracula family." I gave them a sign to come over. Norris inspected the guests of mine, his gaze stayed on Drac, "You there!" The count froze at his stare, "Yes?"

Norris came closer, now right in Drac's face, "Are you single?"

He swallowed hard, "Yes?"

"Will you have my daughter?"

"Eh!"

"Dad!!!"

He laughed out loud at my red face, "Relax sweetheart I was kidding."

"Ha ha, so funny!" I excused myself, leaving this situation he brought me in. Instead of going through the main door, I took the one in the back, the one for the staff. Once I entered, I recognized old faces, getting a bone-crushing hug from them all. The next I got my old uniform, a vest, white shirt and a long dress. Too bad Norris is already over 800 years old, otherwise he would have changed the uniforms a little, but nooo...it has to stay old-school. It didn't take long as another waiter handed me several plates for table three. Not here for five minutes and already working? I just knew, this will not be a boring week.

While I served food, Norris was still outside with the Dracula family, telling him about his hotel.

Drac was still in shock of my father's offer, even though he said it was a joke. Was it really one? To get his mind on something else, he told Norris about his hotel as well. It didn't take long, till they both ignored the rest of the family. My father asked one of his staff to show the others around. As for Drac, he had to join him in his office. From the restaurant I could see them disappear behind the doors, not feeling well to leave Drac with Norris alone. My worries were interrupted by Jonny and Mavis, asking for a table.

"What about your father Mavis?"

She smiled, "Don't worry, they are lost in their conversation about hotels."

"Hotels?" I was relieved. I was concerned for a moment, that dad might try to hook me up with Drac...wouldn't be the first time.
