"He gave me this box; in case he is not around anymore I shall give it to you."

Opening it I gasp, "I thought they all got burned in the fire."

Franky smiled, "He only came here once, giving me the item. We talked for a while about you and your childhood."

I had to suppress a giggle seeing my old cape in the box. Norris sure didn't throw anything away, even my plastic fangs were in there. One main picture will get framed and placed next to my bed. The only photo that was painted of my father and I. The other one was Laurence, Leona and I at the ruins. Those made me wonder, "Where did they go? Erika didn't find them under the ashes." Anastasia held me a piece of paper, "This was in the post box this morning."

It only has a few words on it:

We love you...we shall see each other again.

Best wishes Laurence and Leona

With that all said, I discussed it all with Drac in the next few days. His offer was to leave with him in his hotel, becoming the second owner of the place. He held my hands tenderly, saying that this place was the dream of his and his deceased wife and now, it shall be ours. Mavis even teased me sometimes, calling me mom whenever possible. It took some time to get used to it, but when Jonny started to do that it became creepy. And as the Drac pack started this game, it was just disturbing. The count made the last journey with me, holding my hand as we visit Norris grave. Erika made sure that he got buried at the place he died, just like he wanted it. The graves were around a huge statue, a miniature of the hotel, just like it was on the photos he left me behind.

"Your father didn't have it easy, but at the end he didn't the right thing."

I nodded, "I get the feeling that he never was against us being together."

"He was under pressure to keep the traditions up. If that wasn't the case, he would have considered it."

"According to Mavis, there aren't many guest vampires in the hotel, is that right?"

Drac thought for a minute, I was right. Since there was a hotel only for vampires it would have made sense, "Well with one vamp hotel down, this might change."

"You are going to need an expert on that department" I grinned, nudging his side playfully. We planned it all through, the way we live, we work and even how to plan the events. Drac accepted all parties and special occasions, except the hunt ball, "I don't want this to come and haunt you, so they have to ask another hotel for this."

Even without it, the place was booming.

I needed a few months to adjust to the place. Franky was right, if I had waited longer, I wouldn't have refused to leave. The whole stress and constantly occupied, it kept me from thinking too hard of the past. Drac kept an eye on me on all times, supporting me wherever he can. A year passed since then.

It took him more than one attempt to ask me to marry him.

The first few I refused, not feeling ready yet, Vlad gave him the wrong advice on how to ask, making it harder for me to accept. Jonny was even worse than his father. It was the idea from Mavis, giving it the right moment at the right place. She found the scene on the roof romantic, remembering when Jonny showed her the sun behind the chimney. In our situation, Drac stayed behind it, enjoying it the same way as his daughter. He hasn't taken some time to watch the sunrise or set for centuries. This magical moment was adding the touch for his proposal. Plus, it was nothing fancy like all the others. He saved my life, became the love of my life and gave me a new family I belong to, what else do I need?

Even at the day we married, he gave me a wonderful present.

For a year, I finally saw my old friends again. Laurence and Leona came all the way here, followed by two little children of their own. Under Drac's orders, they should do anything to get me depressed on this special day, meaning to enroll the past. They had two weeks to get to that issue. I never forget, as the count allowed Laurence to have a dance with. It felt like the old times, when he stomped on my foot by my order. Laurence cleared up all the misunderstandings of my father, making me feel closer to him than we ever were. My friend said the same thing like Drac, on the day we visited Norris grave. All the ancient vampires that didn't came to the hunt ball decided to stay in the dark, leaving the future free to the younger generation. I had to bite my lip, seeing the young vampire with a Smartphone, even Leona had one. It was no surprise then, as they exchanged their numbers with Drac and me, keeping in touch. The hotel became their regular stay for the summer, so I can see their kids grow and be their aunt. It was all complete, the moment as Franky and Anastasia arrived. The family photo of us all together with Drac's family that is what Norris was talking about:

"...Don't forget your family N/A... promise me that you always cherish the sweet memories of us and what the future will give..."

I held on to Dracula's hand, "You gave me back my life back...my dear Count."

He raised mine to his lips to kiss it, "And you gave me back the Zing...my love."
