14. One dangerous friend

While I was gone with the Dracula family, Franky and Anastasia took care of the other monsters. No one was aware of the danger that was heading our way.

Rita told her boyfriend about this whole 'monster, pervert and roommate' thing. Not only was he bad at controlling his temper, he was also a member of hunters. He inspected his rifle, "Normally I hunt animals but monsters?" Rita grinned, "I mean monsters...have you ever heard of such nonsense?" Her boyfriend laughed out loud. Of course no one believed in real monsters, especially the famous ones on the TV. He got Rita of his lap, "But just to be sure...if they were real monsters, would it be bad if I hunt them?" "No normal human believes in monsters anymore. I guess they are just some crazy geeks, pretending to be monsters." "I want to make sure..." he said, loading his rifle, "...and if they aren't human...it will be fun hunting them down." Rita sighted. She knows how much he loves his hobby, but to her it was just plain boring. But to get it back at Drac, she lets her boyfriend do as he wishes. She warned him though, "If you get caught, I never heard of you". His response was a simple, "Sure love."

Meanwhile the hotel was full of vampires, of all ages.

Mavis and Jonny watched me run from one side to another. They felt sympathy for me, as I was sweating hard. "Are we that short on staff?!" I moaned, as sweat rolled down my face. The other waitress lady, also a vampire, wiped my face clean, "I am afraid so. The others are all hunting down their partners for life." "I can't believe that there are so many candidates this year..." I looked around, "...especially young men." She nudged my side, "You know Laurence is still available."

I gave her one death glare, „If I were you, I would pick my words very carefully. My meal is a box of Chicken Chow Mein and one pair of chopsticks...so don't tempt me to use them against you."

"Uh touchy!" she laughed it off, leaving me alone.

My next destination was the table, where Mavis and Jonny are at. Once I stood before them, I looked around confused, "Where is Vlad?"

"He went into the sauna" answered Mavis quite casually.

"Without booking it first?!"

"He was invited by some elder vampires and also by that guy from before. What is his name...Lord Mortdecai?"

I corrected, "Mortimer!"

"That is the dude!"

I couldn't believe it! Vlad is somewhere in the sauna with other old gents and Dracula is with my father in his office. Speaking of which, what the hell is keeping them so long? It bothers me that I cannot go and check on them. I faced the young Dracula for help, "Mavis, could you be a dear and get your father? Dinner is almost ready." At least the dinner times are still the same, in one hour I can finally take a break. She nodded, heading towards the office. Jonny kept stuffing his mouth with spaghetti. For this week, I had to pack food for two this week, but the way he eats...It won't last three days. Instead of spoiling my appetite watching Jonny, I went back to work.

Mavis was at the office by now, just about to knock on the door as she heard them talk.
