As expected, Drac had little bats flying around in his head. It was a surprise that he even got out of the coffin. Mavis and Jonny woke up a little sooner, in hope to catch her father before Norris does. No one expected Laurence to be standing at Drac's door. The young Dracula got curious, "What are you doing here at my dad's room?"

"Clarity, I want an explanation of last night's event."

"He was drunk, that is all."

The vampire male shook his head, pushing an open book into her direction, "That doesn't concern me, but the fact that he joined in without permission." Jonny asked of why he needed to know that. Laurence frowned, "Do you have any idea how hard it is to join this hunt ball? Some vampires have to wait half a century to get in."

"That we came here wasn't planned. We are here because of N/A."

"Exactly, as for N/A, she can do her job without you all distracting her."

Jonny took it personal, "Or is it because you are distracted by us? We know what you are up to, so don't blame us for your own screw-ups."

Mavis had never seen her husband this intense, especially in front of a creature that is a lot stronger than him...and taller. "What does a low life human like you understand? You don't know me and you never will" he turned towards the young Dracula, informing her that he will be back. Just turning around the corner, Mavis father had opened the door, "What is this hideous noise?"

"Dad, are you alright?"

He shook his head, "My head feels like it has been impaled." Jonny wanted to give his father-in-law the perfect comment to cheer him up, but another person beats him to it. "I guess a steak through the heart might have been better, right Count?" it was Norris. The ancient vampire demanded a one-on-one conversation this instant. Before Drac could complain, Norris's deadly glare shuts him up. Like a lamb, the count followed in silence. Mavis fears the worst and so does Jonny.

While I sleep peacefully in my coffin, I recovered well after the flight out the window.

Thankfully Laurence caught me in time. The covers were soft and the smell divine, it was hard to leave the box. Memories I haven't thought of, had suddenly came back the surface. Even the knock on the door was part of my past. Laurence peeked inside my room, "Still in bed or change in clothes?"

I raised my brow, "Aren't you too old to spy on me while dressing?"

"On you, a man never gets too old for this" his grin widens, while coming in, "Coming out?"

I faced my alarm clock, a few hours till six o'clock, "Let me sleep in a while longer please."

"Shall I read you a good-night story?" Remembering the past, I rather not find out what he had in store for me. Not waiting for an answer, he got himself a large red book and sat beside my coffin, "If it's in a word is it's in a look, you can't get rid of the Babadook."

I shuddered, "I thought I burned this book."

Laurence laughed out loud, "Indeed you have, but uncle Babadook made you a new one. Here, it even got you in it." Peaking from underneath he bed sheet, I watched the pop up of me, how it was on a roof with a red cape around my shoulders...flying to the ground. Underneath it was written in red: Splash! Blood was everywhere. My body began to shake, "I get the feeling that uncle Baba doesn't like me." Laurence shrugged, "I don't think so, he also played with you as a child, don't you remember?"

Indeed he has. Scaring me constantly, pretending to be the monster under my bed. "I still can't believe that he is a close relative from Norris" I said, throwing the book across the room. Laurence returned to his evil grin, "I don't find him that bad or do you prefer to have great-great grandfather Bunyip around?"

"God no!!!!!"

Those are memories I rather not remember. Unfortunately they were thrilled as hell, as Norris introduced me to the two psychopaths, one thing that wasn't really necessary. Laurence laughed again, going through the times we had fun together. From the phase where I wanted to be a vampire, till the Goth period, we always had been together ever since. That is, until the accident. One thing that Laurence tried not to speak of, but I could see it worries him, especially on every hunt ball. Too overwhelmed from this conversation, sleep took over. Because of that, he suggested to take a walk outside, of course, the darker areas of the forest.
Meanwhile Drac sat in the office, on the opposite side was Norris, folding his hands together.

"I guess you know why you are here?"

"...ehm...no?"

Norris sighted, "Not only do you cost me a fortune last night, but you also got my daughter in danger."

"What, I would never..."

"You threw her out the window?!"
Drac stood there, shocked to the bone, "....I have?"

Annoyed and a little stressed, Norris leaned back in his chair, "If it wasn't for N/A, you and your family would be thrown out by now. She persuaded me to let you stay. Take this as your last chance."

"Yes sir. The mess I caused...I will pay you back....promise."

He watched as Drac's head hung low, he has never been this humiliated before.

"You better be, consider yourself lucky for the opportunity to join in on the hunt ball. You may go."

The count slowly rose from the seat, while his head was still spinning. Before he could even open the door, Norris spoke up again, "And Count...." Drac looked up and saw a very serious face, staring in his direction, "...keep your hands off my daughter."
