Scene XXXV (Soundtrack: Runaway Train OST/Gloria in D Major - Et in Terra Pax)
Soon, both Ms. Trunchbull & Mr. Wormwood walked back to the gap between the First & Second unit to decouple the rest of the train. Back in the second unit, Mrs. Wormwood was still holding Grace while Michael was emotionally constipated & Rodolpho looking out the window. Mr. Wormwood used a wrench to clear off some of the snow & break some of the ice away. Then Ms. Trunchbull used her strength to pull the pin, decoupling the lead engine from the rest of the train & severing the MU cables. When the Second unit shut off, Mrs. Wormwood was startled along with Rodolpho, Michael, & Grace. They stood up, looked out the window, & were shocked to see the lead unit decoupled fading into the distance with both Ms. Trunchbull & Mr. Wormwood onboard.
Mrs. Wormwood: (Screaming) Honey!!!!!! Shut it down please for fucking God, please shut it down, Honey!!!!!!!!
Both Mr. Wormwood & Ms. Trunchbull wave their goodbyes as Mrs. Wormwood's Screams & Pleads faded into the distance. They soon climbed on top of the Long Hood of the lead unit as it faded into the mist.
Mrs. Wormwood: (Still Screaming) Shut it down you bastard, Honey!!!!!!
Grace: You know what they want to do.
Michael: (Screaming) Father, please shut it down, please, we're begging you, please.
In the helicopter, Joey & Richard watch in horror.
Joey: (Panicking) What are they doing?
Rich: (Picks up the radio) PC Ray, do you read me, please dammit, pick up. You bastard, please for the love of Jesus Christ our lord, pick up, dammit.
PC Ray doesn't respond.
Joey: Mines ahead, go back, go back.
The pilot does that & lands the chopper to the stop Trailing units.
Rodolpho: (In Shock) He didn't, He did it. He along with Ms. Trunchbull did it, They got away.
Mrs. Wormwood: (Crying) I love you forever & I'll always keep the promise.
The Decoupled units come to a halt as Grace looked out of the shattered window, knowing Ms. Trunchbull & Mr. Wormwood had fulfilled their promise of never getting caught. The Lead unit continues to barrel towards the closed up mine with both Ms. Trunchbull & Mr. Wormwood is still on the Long Hood with their arms stretched out ready to meet their end. At a Local cemetery near the Wormwoods now abandoned home, a funeral service was carried out with both the Wormwoods & Rodolpho in attendance. PC Ray was cremated & his ashes scattered outside of the Police station he worked at, with many of his fellow colleagues in attendance & the Star Spangled Banner sending him off. Both ceremonies happened as the lone engines disappeared into the fog. The movie closes with a quote from William Shakespeare's Richard III: "No beast so fierce but knows some touch of pity. But I know none, and therefore am no beast." The credits roll through & the film closes with the title.

A Few days Later
Back in the yard office, the Crew was still traumatized from that day. They took a couple of days off to recover from the incident. But that day never left them since.
Joey: (Stressed) I don't understand. How did this happen, why couldn't we stop it, with all this shit, with all of this new technology?
Rich: I don't know Joe, I don't know. But some things just couldn't be explained.
The crew went back to their duties, but would continue to haunt them for years.
