Sluggishly I throw my leg over Maleek's torso, hooking myself against him.

"Why New York?" I ask, toying with his earlobe.

He throws his hand back swatting at my own. He answers my question voice muffled by the pillow he's resting his head against. "It's closer to y'all. Cornell is closer to Jamaica, deh Jari aguh so it only mek sense that I accepted their invitation even though mi aguh pay more money fi tuition due to the likkle bit a money them a give mi fi scholarship."

I hum, moving closer to him nuzzling my head into his armpit. My other hand lies frailly against him. "What's the plan for today seeing that it's your last day here."

He turns onto his back, a broad smile perched on his face. Pulling me flush into him, he presses kisses against my crane neck.

A giggle slips from me, my hand pushing softly at him. "No."

I clear my throat batting my lashes heavily with a smug against my face at the hearty gaze he has on me.

I'm sure my face is beet red.

What a way mi a allow the people them son fi yam mi out.

Head tilted I match his gaze. "I'm serious. I want us to do something as a family before you leave." He cocks a brow.

"With your mother, dad and siblings too," I add and he chuckles breaking eye contact.

His hands transverse the smooth course of his face, a head shake added to his reply. "Them nah guh up to that. We can take the twins and Jari but Mommy and Dad nah guh waah guh no weh."

Swiftly I wash the look of disappointment off my face when he turns to look at me. "Okay."

I was hoping that we could all do something to lift our spirits seeing that both of their oldest are leaving today.

He groans tugging at my hand. "Anno nothing personal Zo. Weh—" I cut him off. "I get it, Mal."

I stand akimbo staring down at him sprawled off in the bed. The sheet was lazily thrown over his torso while he lay bare chest facing me.
