That's how much the owner of the Airbnb is asking I pay in damages.
"$3500" I lift my head at Peterking's scream, clamping my lips tight to not laugh along with him.
Dante chuckles taking a seat on the edge of Mommy's sofa.
"Yuh salt bredda that all mi can tell yuh. Mi have $1000 that mi can Zelle yuh." He retreats his phone from his pocket, tapping away at the screen.
I plunge myself further into the comfort of the sofa, reviewing and fact-checking that the damages claimed are from my stay.
Benko walks into the room hissing, earning the attention of all of us. "Mi leff mi watch ova deh ennuh."
Not sparing him another second of my listening ear, I stand from the sofa treading in the direction of Jari's room.
Zola has been asleep in there since we came here last night after being thrown out by the owner of the Airbnb.
The door screeches open, as I apply a generous amount of force to push it open.
Wrapped up in the comfort of the sheets from head to toe, is Zola—deep asleep with no care in the world.
Her face stained with tears from the night before.
