Collateral Damage??

Before Sundown

"You shouldn't be here" Aurora turned around to face Dr. Strange.

"Aurora... When I heard about a witch with similar powers to Maximoff I didn't think it was going to be you" Stephen confessed.

"You were so caught up in the fight, you didn't see my hands glowing" Aurora answered him sarcasm and took the files from her desk and put them inside her bag.

" I need your help" Stephen said after a few moments of silence.

"Well that's a bust" Aurora smirked standing up, getting ready to leave.

"Wait, wait, wait... What do you mean" Stephen said panicking.

"I'm retired, Stephen... I don't do bzzz...psss....hoo(Making sounds with her mouth and doing gestures like fighting with magic to prove her point)

" This is different, ...Wanda Maximoff. She's tapped into energies beyond her control, and now a kid being persued by her."

Aurora's eyes narrow with concern. "Wanda, our Wanda?"

"Yes, please you need to listen to me, you are the only one that can help us" Stephen looked Aurora in her eyes looking for some kind of comfort.

"There are other avengers that can help you, I'm a Lawyer Stephen, I just got my life together after....after i lost my people, I promised to myself I won't go back to that life again."

"Just hear me out" Stephen Insisted

Aurora sighed but nodded in agreement sitting back at her office chair gesturing at Stephen to take a sit.

(Stephen filled her with all that happened)

"She's gonna kill her, kill a child Aurora, a child just to see her sons that don't even exist"

Aurora looked at the desk not able to look at his eyes.

"Aurora, are you okay?" Stephen stood up but at his suprise Aurora did too.

"So, will you help me?" Stephen said with a glimpse of hope at his stare.

"I can't" Aurora said not looking at his eyes once again, taking her bag and walking to the door of her office. Stephen grabbed her arm stopping her in her tracks, her bag falling to the floor.

"Why?? This is very important Aurora, we talking about the multiverse everything will change if Wanda succeeds, more problems will rise and you, you are the only one that can do something about it and you chicken out? We'll be doomed if you don't help me stop her"

"Chicken out?..You really wanna know why I don't want to help you!?" Aurora raised her voice

"Yes" Stephen raised his too

"Because I would do the same thing" Aurora snatched her arm out of Stephen's grip, collecting her bag from the floor and turns to leave grabbing the door knob
But she stops and turns to look at him, Stephen now stunned not be able to say anything but looking at her.

" I would do anything to bring Natasha back, I would do anything to make a real funeral for her, I would do anything to see Natasha being able to have kids, I would do anything to live a life with her, anything, even if that means killing an innocent child" Aurora said in one long breath.
Stephen still looking at her in disbelief.
"You know it's not right" Stephen sighed
"It's not right to come here, to my office, to my new life, begging for my help, bringing back memories that caused me my nightmares and you being one of the people that said Natasha was a collateral damage, I think you have a nerve to come here and threaten me about my choices when you know what I can do...yeah...I see it in your eyes, you studied about me, the witchy me but not Aurora"

Stephen looked at his feet not able to say anything but " I'm sorry "

Aurora laughed ironically for two seconds.
"I want to study my information about my client again, he's innocent and I'm going to prove it because that's my job... going after a witch, an old friend...like Maximoff, it's not my job, so If you excuse me..." Aurora opened the door leaving him alone in her office, hopeless returning with empty hands to his people, with no plan, no help.
