A/N : Guys I'm so tired from the trip...oh god 😭

The next morning, Aurora sat in her office, going over the details of the new case. Mia stood across from her, arms folded. "Aurora, we need to take this seriously. The client might be difficult, but it's our job to find the truth."

Aurora sighed, frustration evident on her face. "Mia, he's lying. Every piece of evidence contradicts his story. I can't represent someone who keeps changing his narrative."

Mia leaned forward, her tone sharpening. "We can't just drop a case because it's hard. We owe it to the process to see it through."

Aurora shook her head. "It's not just hard, Mia. It's deceitful. We need to maintain our integrity. I'm rejecting this case."

Mia huffed, clearly displeased. "Fine, but don't expect me to clean up this mess when it backfires."

Aurora watched Mia leave, feeling a mix of relief and anxiety. She knew she made the right choice, but the tension was getting to her.

___
Back at the house, Wanda sensed something was off. She wandered through the rooms, feeling a strange energy that made her uneasy. She paused in the living room, eyes narrowing as she tried to pinpoint the source of the disturbance.

Kate stormed in, still seething from her argument with Yelena. "I don't understand why she's being like this!" she exclaimed, pacing back and forth.

Wanda looked at her, concerned. "What happened?"

Kate stopped and faced Wanda, frustration boiling over. "Yelena's been acting so strange, and when I confronted her, she just got defensive. It's like she doesn't trust me anymore."

Before Wanda could respond, Yelena entered the house, her expression equally stormy. "Maybe if you stopped treating me like a problem to be fixed, we wouldn't have this issue," she snapped.

Kate's temper flared, and in a moment of heated frustration, she slapped Yelena across the face. The room fell silent, the shock palpable.

"What was that???" Yelena stunned by Kate's actions. "I...I don't know" Kate replied.
___
Aurora, hearing the commotion, rushed into the room after she left the office."What the hell is going on?" she demanded.

Yelena held her cheek, glaring at Kate. "I'm done with this," she said, turning to leave.

Kate, realizing the gravity of her actions, tried to stop her. "Yelena, wait-"

But Yelena was already gone, leaving a tense silence in her wake.

Aurora turned to Kate, her voice stern. "What the hell was that, go find her, I don't have time for this.... I have to deal with Mia."

Kate nodded, visibly shaken. "Go, I'll be fine."
____
Aurora went Mia's house, still fuming. "Mia, I'm sorry if I came across too harshly, but I can't represent someone I know is lying."

Mia glared at her. "You can't just pick and choose based on your gut feeling, Aurora. We have a duty-"

Aurora cut her off. "Our duty is to the truth, Mia. And if my gut tells me this client is hiding something, I'm going to trust it. Why are you like this today???"

Mia shook her head. "This isn't over," she said before pushing Aurora out of her house.

Feeling the weight of the day's conflicts, Aurora sat back at her desk, rubbing her temples. Wanda quietly entered the room, her presence soothing.

"Hey," Wanda said softly, coming to sit beside Aurora. "Rough day?"

Aurora nodded, a tired smile forming. "You could say that."

Wanda took Aurora's hand, her touch gentle. "You made the right call with the case. And whatever's going on with Kate and Yelena, they'll figure it out."

Aurora looked at Wanda, grateful for her support. "Thanks, Wanda. You always know how to make me feel better."

Wanda smiled, brushing a strand of hair from Aurora's face. "That's what I'm here for."
