A/N: So tired omg😭
The next day, while Aurora was trying to focus on her work, the doorbell rang. She opened it to find Sophie standing there once more, her silver hair shimmering in the sunlight.
"Hi, Aurora. I hope it's okay that I stopped by. I wanted to see how you were doing after yesterday," Sophie said with a concerned smile.
Aurora welcomed her in, feeling a sense of comfort in Sophie's presence. "Thanks, Sophie. It's been a rough couple of days."
They sat down in the living room, chatting casually.
Meanwhile, Wanda, who had been observing the interaction, approached them. "Hey, Aurora," she said with a warm smile. "I was thinking, maybe we could go out for dinner tonight. It might be good to get out of the house and relax a bit."
Aurora hesitated, thinking about the chaos of the past days. "That sounds nice, Wanda. I think I could use a break."
Sophie glanced between the two, sensing a deeper connection. "That sounds like a great idea. You both deserve some time to unwind."
As they were making plans, Kate entered the room. Her demeanor was noticeably colder, and she barely acknowledged Aurora and Wanda. "I'm going out for a while," she said flatly, avoiding eye contact.
Aurora watched her leave, worry etched on her face. She turned to Wanda. "Something's wrong with Kate. She's been acting so strange since the argument with Yelena."
Wanda nodded. "I've noticed it too. And Yelena hasn't been around either. Have you heard from her at all?"
Aurora shook her head. "No....what is going on.."
Later that afternoon, Aurora tried reaching out to Mia, but her calls went unanswered. She even stopped by Mia's house, but there was no response. Frustrated and concerned, she returned home, feeling more isolated than ever.
That evening, Aurora and Wanda went out for dinner as planned. The restaurant was cozy and offered a welcome distraction from the turmoil. As they sat across from each other, Wanda reached out and took Aurora's hand.
"You know, no matter what happens, I'm here for you" Wanda said softly.
Aurora smiled, feeling a sense of warmth. "I don't know what I'd do without you."
After dinner, they walked back home under the evening sky, the air filled with the soft sounds of the city. When they arrived, Kate was sitting on the front steps, her expression distant.
"Kate, are you okay?" Aurora asked gently.
Kate looked up, her eyes filled with uncertainty. "I don't know, Aurora. Everything's just so messed up."
Wanda stepped forward, her voice firm yet kind. "Hey everything will be okay, just stick together."
Kate nodded, her resolve wavering. "I know. I just need some time"
Inside, Aurora sat by herself for a while, lost in thought. The door creaked open, and Sophie entered the room, her presence a calming influence.
"Hey the girls let me in, how are you holding up?" Sophie asked, her voice filled with genuine concern.
Aurora sighed. "It's been tough. Yelena's gone, Kate's acting strange, Mia's avoiding me... I feel like everything is falling apart."
Sophie sat beside her, placing a comforting hand on her shoulder. "You'll get through this, Aurora. You're stronger than you think."
