AURORA'S OFFICE - A While Later (after Stephen left)
*Aurora sits at her desk, exhaustion mingling with satisfaction. The glow of the city lights outside her window contrasts with the dimness of her office. She takes off her glasses and massages the bridge of her nose, reflecting on the day's intense courtroom battle.*
**AURORA:**
(whispering to herself)
"Not guilty..."*The words hang in the air, a testament to her skill and determination. Her phone buzzes, breaking her reverie. It's a message from Mia.*
**MIA:**
(through text)
"Great news! We did it. Celebratory drinks tonight?"*Aurora smiles faintly, appreciating Mia's enthusiasm.*
**AURORA:**
(typing back)
"Thanks, Mia. Let's meet at our usual place in an hour."*She leans back in her chair, her mind replaying key moments of the trial. Jonathan Pierce's advice echoes in her thoughts—trust your instincts.*
**FLASHBACK - COURTROOM**
*The judge's gavel pounds, announcing the verdict. Aurora's client stands, visibly relieved as the words "not guilty" reverberate through the courtroom. Aurora maintains her composed demeanor, exchanging nods with her client.*
**AURORA'S OFFICE - PRESENT**
*The memory brings a fleeting sense of triumph. She grabs her briefcase, preparing to leave for the evening.*
**AURORA:**
(to herself)
"Justice served."*As she gathers her things, she glances at a framed photograph on her desk— Aurora with Tony and Natasha. The memories of their time together bring a mix of nostalgia.*
** CITY STREETS - SUNDOWN**
*Aurora walks briskly through the bustling city streets, the night alive with activity. She arrives at a cozy bar, the familiar glow of neon signs welcoming her.*
** BAR - SUNDOWN**
*Mia waves from a corner booth, a celebratory drink already waiting for Aurora. They clink glasses as Aurora slides into the seat opposite Mia.*
**MIA:**
"You were incredible today, Aurora. I knew we had it in the bag."**AURORA:**
(smiling gratefully)
"Thanks, Mia. Your support and preparation were invaluable."*They toast to their success, savoring the moment of victory.*
**MIA:**
"So, what's next? Another high-profile case?"**AURORA:**
(considering)
"Maybe. But tonight, let's just enjoy this."*They chat animatedly, reliving moments from the trial and sharing anecdotes from their legal careers. The bar buzzes with laughter and music, a welcome contrast to the intensity of the courtroom.*
**A LITTLE LATER**
*Aurora walks back through the city, the adrenaline of the day slowly ebbing away. She stops by a small park, gazing up at the stars twinkling overhead. Thoughts of Natasha briefly cross her mind.*
**AURORA:**
(softly)
"You should have been here with me, Natasha."*She takes a deep breath, thinking about the first time in a long time, she talked with Natasha after she saved her from getting squashed by a falling building*
___
(Situation : Not friends yet but kind of secret partners because Natasha was wanted then, Aurora didn't mind that)FLASHBACK
The door of the trailer creaks open, and Natasha steps inside. She scans the small, cluttered interior, instantly on alert. She spots Aurora sitting at a table, surrounded by various gadgets and gear.
**AURORA**
(looking up from her work)
Hey, you actually came. Wasn't sure you would.**NATASHA:**
(smirking)
And miss out on this luxury?*Aurora chuckles, stands up, and gestures around the trailer.*
**Aurora:**
Well, it's no Stark Tower, but it’s got its charm.**NATASHA:**
(sarcastically)
Sure, if you're into rustic.*Aurora moves to a small fridge, pulls out a couple of beers, and hands one to Natasha. She takes it, but doesn't open it.*
**AURORA:**
I’ve got a place for you to lay low. Off the grid. Completely.**NATASHA:**
(skeptical)
And what do you get out of it?**AURORA:**
Just helping a friend. And maybe a dinner after this...
*NATASHA eyes her, trying to read her intentions. After a beat, she nods.*
**NATASHA:**
Alright, Aurora. I'll think about it. So what’s the catch?**AURORA:**
There’s no catch. But... (She hesitates) you should know, things are heating up out there. Word is, Taskmaster’s been activated.*Natasha’s expression hardens at the mention of Taskmaster.*
**NATASHA:**
I can handle it.**AURORA:**
(serious)
I’m not doubting that. But you should be careful. They’re not playing around.*Natasha takes a moment to consider this, then sets her unopened beer on the table.*
**NATASHA:**
Just point me in the right direction.*Aurora hands her a set of keys and a folded map.*
**AURORA:**
Coordinates are on the map.Stay safe, Natasha.**NATASHA:**
(smiling faintly)
Always do.*With that, Natasha pockets the keys and the map, then heads towards the door. Before she leaves, she looks back at Aurora.*
**NATASHA:**
Thank you, Aurora.**AURORA:**
Anytime.*Natasha exits the trailer, leaving Aurora to her work. The door closes behind her, and Aurora lets out a long breath, knowing the danger that lies ahead.*
