"Domingo! Are we there?" I whine at my boyfriend.

Today was our 5 Year Anniversary and Diego was taking me out on a date. I was excited but also very anxious. Diego had taken me in a car first then he said we would walk. Yes call me lazy but I hated walking.

"Okay okay, we are here." Diego says annoyed with my constant complaints.

He carefully unites my blindfold and I can see again. I freeze at the sight. There was a small picnic set up on a red and white checkered blanket. The picnic was in front of a wooden bench under a tree.

I was still not speaking or moving so Diego moved to the blanket. I sit down still blinking making sure it as real. When I'm sure I snap out of my trance,

"Thank you so much Diego!" I say finally.

Diego laughs and I give him a tight hug. He hugs me back tightly. I bury my face in the crook of his neck. I have such a nice boyfriend,

"You are the best boyfriend ever!" I exclaim and he grins.

"I know" Diego says smirking and I roll my eyes.

"And obviously very modest" I say sarcastically and he nudges me.

He says we should start eating. He begins unpacking -the big- basket. He takes about my favourite pasta, some fruit, a chocolate cake, and a surprise he would give me last, I thanked him another 20 times and he had told me to stop.

"But everything here is amazing!" I tell him and he laughs. Diego lightly kisses my cheek.

"Your thank you is being here!" Diego tells me and I blush, "let's eat pasta!" Diego says excitedly.

I laugh and take the lid off the container. I sniff the pasta and smile. It smelt so good.

"I made it, if you didn't know, I'm amazing at cooking too" Diego informs me and K start laughing again.

I didn't know what it was with him but he made me smile all the time. He made me laugh and blush. Diego was the perfect person for me. There was truly nobody better than him for me.

Diego begins putting the pasta in a plate. The pasta was Spaghetti And Meatballs with a tomato sauce. We lean back a bit on the cushions and Diego begins feeding me. I hold back a laugh as Diego gives the food to me like a baby saying the train was coming.

I take the fork from him and give him some pasta. Diego would give me and then I would give him. When we were done Diego kisses my lips. He takes out the fruit and begins feeding me some mangoes.

When we were done with the surprisingly sweet fruit he gives me the slice of  cake. We take a form each and begin breaking pieces off to put it in our mouths.

"This tastes like the one from my Neighbour!" I say letting the chocolate cake linger on my tongue.

"Because it's from them" Diego says and I laugh.

"I would've added baking to the list of things you can do" I say to him and playfully smacks the blanket.

"Oh man" He says sarcastically, "but there are still 1000 other things on the list!" I roll my eyes at him and he clears his throat. He suddenly has a nervous look on his face and he begins rubbing his hands together.

"Are you okay?" I ask him putting a hand on his shoulder.

"I have something very important to ask you" Diego tells me and I nod.

He picks me up and we were both standing. Diego gets down on his knees and my breath catches in my throat, was he really going to do this? 

"Clari the first time I set eyes on you I immediately fell in love. These past 5 years I've been with you have been the best years of my life! I want to spend the rest of my life with you, never letting you go. Will you Maria Clara Alonso marry me?" Diego asks me opening a small red velvet box, revealing a diamond ring.

"Of course!" I shout loudly.

Diego grins at me and slips the diamond ring on my finger. I kiss his lips passionately never wanting this moment to end.
