Coffee Shops (Diecesca) /17/

I walk into the coffee shop. It was quite quiet, there weren't a lot of people. There were a few whispers. I walk to the short line for take aways. I fiddle with my fingers checking my nails boredly.i get to the front of the line and set my hands on the counter.

"I will have a cappuccino with foam please" I tell the cashier.

She nods and begins tapping on her screen. She shouts behind her for somebody to make my cappuccino,,well they wouldn't, the machines would. I pay the money and step to the side to let somebody else place their order.

My cappuccino comes in a take away cup with those plastic lids. I add a few white sugars and stir. I secure the lid and walk to the door. I open my lid as I'm walking looking down when I bump into somebody making the cappuccino spill.

I slap my forehead and look up. The guy I had bumped had black hair combed into a quiff and dazzling green eyes. He was wiping the cappuccino off with his hands.

"I'm so sorry!" I apologize and hand him the serviette, "it must've been so hot" I say.

"Yes, it was very hot" The guy says and I hang my head. "But it's fine" And I look up smiling

"Let me buy you a coffee" I offer to him and he shakes his head.

"You need the coffee, after all yours is all over me" He says, "and I'm diego"

Diego walks off to the counter to buy us two cappuccinos. I felt so bad. I would have killed the person who did that to me, spilling blazing hot cappuccino all over you because they weren't looking.

Diego comes back and takes a seat opposite me. He sets the cardboard tray holding the cups onto the table. I notice that he covered up the disaster that I made with a jacket. I add two sugars to my cappuccino and stir it a bit. I look up to see Diego staring at me intently.

"Yes" I prompt.

"Nothing" Diego says grinning. He takes a sip from his cup slowly.

I shake my head and avert my gaze. I look at my cappuccino and stir it again. I add in another sugar and stir it some more.

"Why did you add another sugar?" Diego questions me.

"I was bored" I shrug and Diego laughs at me.

"You were bored so you decided to add another sugar?" He says in a question just to check himself and I nod,

Diego shakes his head and I tilt my head in confusion. I ask him what happened but he answers me with the same annoying short answer, 'nothing'

"Shall we go for a walk?" Diego suddenly asks.

I hold up my (basically full) cup and he shrugs. "You can walk and drink"

Diego and I walk out if the coffee shop. When we step outside the icy wind hits my neck (that usually wore a scarf) Diego chuckles next to me and I feel a scarf around my neck. I thank him with a small smile wrap it around my neck properly.

I push my chin into it gathering warmth. I stick my gloveless hand into my jacket and begin blowing air. The warm air comes out in a smoke form from my mouth.

"Somebody is cold" Says Diego in a teasing voice, "I can take you to my house"

I nod in agreement and Diego takes my hand out my pocket. He entwined it with his and we walk to the direction of his house. I let Diego drag me since I didn't really know the way. On the way I finish my cappuccino and throw it in a nearby dustbin. We come to a cottage made out of a pine wood.

"This is just my holiday home" Diego informs me and I nod slowly.

We enter the small cottage and I'm greeted by a welcoming warmth. I take a deep breath before sitting down on the couch resting my hands on my lap.

"You don't have to look so uncomfortable" Diego says to me and I roll my eyes.

"I'm not uncomfortable" I protest and he comes over to sit next to me.

Diego chuckles and turns my face to his.

"Really?" He breathes sending a warm breath on my face. I nod because my mouth wouldn't work.

Diego leans in and his lips softly touch mine.
