"I'm so excited!" Mia screamed with exhilaration. "After five months, we're finally going back to our homeland."

Ric was taken aback by Mia's unusual excitement about returning home. "Mia, why are you so eager to go home? Is there something special waiting for you there?"

"Of course," Mia replied eagerly. "Dad mentioned a surprise waiting for me at home, and I can't wait to find out what it is."

Ric, intrigued by her excitement, couldn't help but ask, "Then why haven't you asked Dad about the surprise directly?"

Mia sighed. "Because you know me, I'm not the type to wait patiently. Sometimes I can be as stubborn as a kid."

Ric nodded knowingly. "I understand. But you've tried asking him, right?"

Mia nodded vigorously. "I've tried, Dad. But he's become even more stubborn than me. It's frustrating."

Ric chuckled softly. "Well, when will you let me know about your surprise?"

Mia grinned mischievously. "You'll be the first to know, Are you satisfied now?"

Ric chuckled again, enjoying Mia's excitement and determination.

Ric had returned to his hometown, hoping to reconnect with his parents and Ryan, only to find them absent. Seeking solace on a Sunday, he attended the congregation, but his mind was restless with his uncle's words spoken during a previous reception.

As Ric walked back home, his uncle's voice echoed in his mind, challenging him about his resemblance to his parents' aloof demeanor.

(A few days back)

Uncle: "Your attitude is just like your parents'. That's not good for you. You've got to befriend others or else you'll end up like your parents."

The words struck a chord with Ric. He knew his parents were quiet and kept to themselves, but he had never fully realized the implications of their solitude until now.

Uncle: "Look at your parents. They never talk to anyone, full of aloofness. If something happens to them, nobody will step up to help. We're human, Ric. We need others."

Uncle: "I'm not asking you to go against your parents. It's good to follow their path in many aspects. But remember, not everything they do is right for you. You need to find your way, build friendships, and let others get to know you. That's how you'll find support when you need it."

Ric nodded thoughtfully, grateful for his uncle's perspective. His uncle's laughter broke the seriousness of the conversation, lightening the mood.

Uncle: "You're grown up now, Ric. You can understand what's right for you. Live for yourself, make friends, and embrace life."

Ric was taken aback by the sudden intensity of his uncle's advice but appreciated the sincerity behind it. He glanced up, meeting his uncle's gaze with a hint of confusion.

Ric: "Uncle, why all of a sudden are you saying this?"

Uncle: "About that Myrah told me that you don't like going out and having fun and socializing then I realised you're Just like your parents" So Myrah is the reason she's somewhat correct but not wholly.

(End)

Ric paced as he confessed, his thoughts racing with a mix of realization and uncertainty about his behavior.

Saakshi dialed Aaron's number, "Many more happy returns of the day, my little cute chubby idiot turtle," Saakshi chirped playfully as Aaron answered.

"Thank you, Saakshi, but please don't call me that! I have something for you," Aaron replied with a hint of excitement in his voice.
