I woke from a deep sleep as the sun's rays filtered into my room, Mr. sun greeted me with his bright and cheerful light. Being a morning lark, I rarely need an alarm I'm always up early, eager to start the day. I can't stand being lazy unless I'm unwell, a stark contrast to my roommates, Dia and Aadhya.

Peeking over at their beds, I found Aadhya and Dia still lost in their dreams, clinging to each other in a tight hug, looking utterly content in their sleep. They are true slugabeds, known for their ability to sleep through anything. I got out of bed, went through my morning routine, and felt refreshed and ready to face the day.

I returned to check on Dia and Aadhya, determined to wake them. I made some noise, setting an alarm right by their ears, but it was no use-they remained unperturbed. The alarm seemed more like soothing background music to them. They were sleeping as soundly as European hedgehogs.

An idea popped into my head. With a playful smirk on my face, I went to fetch a jar full of water. Returning to the room, I stood over them, grinning mischievously

"Wake up, sleepyheads! Rise and shine!" I called out cheerfully, holding a mug of water in each hand.

In the next second, I splashed the water on them. Their clothes and hair were instantly soaked, water dripping from their faces. They looked like startled kittens, and I burst into laughter at the sight.

Dia and Aadhya fumed with anger, their faces flushed with a mix of shock and indignation.

"Is it fun to look at us like this?" Dia demanded, gesturing to their drenched clothes.

"It'll be dandy if you also join us," Aadhya grunted, a determined look in her eyes. I knew exactly what that meant and braced myself for the inevitable retaliation.

Sure enough, Aadhya soon returned with a mug full of water, aiming straight for me. Anticipating her move, I managed to step out of the room just in time, narrowly avoiding the splash.

Giggling, I called out from the hallway, "You'll have to try harder than that!"

Despite the chaos, there was a warmth to our morning routine. It was these moments of playful camaraderie that made me appreciate the bond we shared. As the sounds of their frustrated laughter echoed through the room, I felt a sense of contentment, knowing that even in our mischievous antics, we were building memories that would last a lifetime.

As I stepped out of the room, still laughing from the water fight, I suddenly collided with something solid. Startled, I looked up to see who I had bumped into. It was none other than Mr. Attitude himself, or as I liked to call him, Mr. Dumb

He stood there, looking slightly annoyed and bewildered, his usual cool demeanor ruffled by our abrupt encounter. His eyes, always so piercing and judgmental, bore into mine with a mix of irritation and curiosity

"Sorry," I said in a muffled voice, barely audible over the pounding in my chest. he didn't even acknowledge the apology; he simply turned and walked away, his retreating figure quickly disappearing down the hallway. I watched him go, a mix of frustration and curiosity swirling inside me.

Just then, my phone buzzed in my pocket, startling me out of my thoughts. It was a call from my dad. Taking a deep breath, I answered, trying to shake off the lingering irritation from my encounter with Ric.

"Hey, Dad," I said, my voice brightening as I tried to focus on the conversation.

"Hello, Saakshi! How are you doing?" he asked, his voice warm and comforting.

"Great, Dad. And what about you?" I replied, feeling a bit better already.

"I'm fine! Just the usual busy with work," he said with a chuckle.
