4 weeks passed within the blink of an eye. Everyone started packing their stuff to go home. He went to meet Mia. She bought him a gift for the new year in advance, but he refused to take it, and she insisted on taking it.

"Please Mia, keep this with you. I'll take it some other time," he said softly, a hint of reluctance in his voice.

Mia's eyes softened, her lips forming a slight pout. "Why are you refusing it? You never accepted anything from me. Please accept it," she pleaded, her tone tinged with a mix of earnestness and disappointment.

Ric couldn't resist teasing her a little. A playful smile crossed his face as he looked into her eyes. "But on one condition," he added, his voice dropping slightly in amusement.

Mia scowled playfully, knowing he was up to something. "What was that?" she asked, her curiosity piqued despite her mock annoyance.

"You have to come to my place on New Year," Ric declared, his playful smile turning into a warm, inviting expression. Unbeknownst to Mia, he was planning to confess his feelings for her on that special occasion.

Mia's expression shifted from confusion to surprise. She wasn't expecting this request, but she could sense something different in Ric's demeanor. Her heart skipped a beat as she realized the weight of his invitation.

Ric held his breath, waiting for her response, hoping against hope that she would agree. She said she would give it a thought about it.

The atmosphere upon my return home was serene, yet tinged with the darkness of the evening settling in. Setting down my bags, I reached for a bottle of water, seeking to quench my thirst after the journey. Just as the cool liquid eased my parched throat, a familiar voice echoed from behind me, breaking the silence.

"Reva, when did you get back?" I turned to find my sister standing there, her presence rare, Her face lit up with a radiant smile,

"I came back yesterday, brother," she exclaimed, rushing over to embrace me tightly. Her warmth and affection enveloped me, reminding me of the comfort of home that I had missed during my time away.

"How have you been, my dear brother?" she asked, her voice filled with genuine concern and affection.

"I'm doing well," I replied, feeling a surge of happiness at her presence. "And you, little one?" I teased gently, knowing she enjoyed the playful banter.

"I'm fine, brother," she said, her eyes twinkling with mischief. "But look at you, you've gotten so skinny. Are you eating properly?" Without waiting for an answer, she playfully shoved a piece of cake into my mouth and darted away, laughing.

Chasing after her, we both ended up collapsing onto the couch in fits of laughter, I asked about her exams, pinching her cheek lightly in teasing affection.

"I did my best, brother," she replied, a hint of pride in her voice. I chuckled and patted her head fondly,

Taking charge, she started unpacking my luggage, meticulously organizing everything in my wardrobe; we shared stories, caught up on family news, and enjoyed the simple pleasure of being together once more.

" I heard Ryan is getting married after 2 months. Our parents arranged marriage to him. Do you know about her? I mean about our Sister in law. " She was exhilarated She loves Ryan more than anyone.

"I have no idea about that, Reva. We'll have to ask Ryan about her," Ric replied casually, his shoulders lifting in a shrug.

Reva's expression turned slightly sullen. "Mom and Dad know about her. They never tell us anything. We're his sister and brother, but they didn't inform us beforehand," she complained, her voice tinged with disappointment.
