Chapter 21- Broken First love

I returned to my house after two months for my brother's wedding, filled with excitement, and Reva shared my enthusiasm. Together, we meticulously handled all the arrangements, ensuring everything went smoothly on the big day.

I had invited Mia to my brother's wedding, but to my surprise, she attended with a guy. She hadn't mentioned him to me before, leaving me curious and somewhat uneasy about his presence. I couldn't shake the feeling of discomfort; something about him didn't sit right with me.

After Ryan's wedding, Mia reached out and arranged for us to meet. which intrigued me but also made me apprehensive about what she might want to discuss.

Mia and Ric were talking about their well-abouts. Saakshi passed by them, and she felt she was talking with a girl. So she pretended like she didn't see them she walked past him. To her surprise, he summoned her. She was stunned there for a minute, and he summoned her again.

"Mia, I had told you about Saakshi, she's the one. " He introduced Saakshi to Mia. But Saakshi was thinking about who she was and what's her relationship with him

Mia and Saakshi started knowing about each other. Saakshi was startled by his new behavior she had never seen this side of him Mia told everything Saakshi about Ric that she wasn't aware of she knew more about Ric than anyone does

The way he's looking at her she can envision that he likes Sakshi thought to herself. She never thought that her first love would turn out like this she never anticipated this from him. Her heart shattered into a million pieces.

She felt ordeal and suffocated. She doesn't feel like staying there. If she continues to sit there for another minute, she'll end up crying.

Saakshi was about to leave but a man caught their attention. Instead of leaving Saakshi sit there silently. Looking down into her lap entangling her fingers.

" Hello, Ric I'm Liam... It's my pleasure to meet you" he introduced himself to them. But Ric was thinking about his relationship with Mia

" Hello ... It's my pleasure to meet you too" Ric extended his hand out to shake their hands.

"Mia, you haven't told me about this young lady. Who's she? " Liam questioned Mia gazing at Saakshi.

"She is Ric's friend Saakshi " Saakshi and Liam greeted each other.

" Did you tell him about me? " He asked Mia. Except for Mia, no one is aware of him. Saakshi was having difficulty lying there, and Ric was impatient to know about him

" No, I haven't told him yet." She's looking at Ric, having difficulty speaking. She started hesitating looking at him

" Ric, he is my fiance. We're getting married after the completion of my studies," She mumbled. Ric was lost for words. He can't do anything for now; his relationship came to an end before expressing his feelings, Like a plant plucked before it grows into a fruitful tree.

" What? " Saakshi shouted in bewilderment. She thought Mia liked Ric they both are in love with each other the way they're looking into each other's eyes. But this startled her

They gave a perplexed look to her. " Sorry, I was thinking about something " she apologized to them. She glanced at Ric who was not raising his head. She saw tears in his eyes then she understood that they both were sailing in the same boat. She realized he didn't express his love to her. She took his hand in her hand to comfort him she was smiling faintly

Mia and Liam looked so happy together they were even making fun of each other. Saakshi vacated everything around her; she thought about Ric. She saw the intangible pain in Ric, which Mia failed to observe. She was happily talking with her fiance, and she had forgotten about Ric. Saakshi wants to take him outside and soothe him but she has no idea how to excuse themselves. Her love was broken yet she's thinking about the Ric situation.
