Two days had passed since Saakshi last messaged Ric. She had mustered up the courage to give him a call, hoping to have a more direct conversation than their usual text exchanges. However, her hopes were dashed when Ric rejected the call. Saakshi felt a pang of disappointment and confusion. Why had he rejected her call? Did he not want to talk to her?

Lost in her thoughts and slightly dejected, Saakshi suddenly felt her phone vibrate. It was a message from Ric. She quickly opened it, eager to understand his reason for not answering.

"Sorry, I was unable to answer the call. If you want to tell me something, please drop me a message. I can't answer your call right now," Ric's message read.

Relief washed over Saakshi. At least Ric had explained why he couldn't pick up. But then a realization hit her - they had never actually spoken to each other over the phone before. All their communication had been through text messages.
Reflecting on this, Saakshi couldn't help but wonder why they hadn't called each other before. Was it a deliberate choice or simply a habit they had fallen into?

Saakshi gathered all her courage and texted Ric, eager to join him before his departure.

"At what time are you leaving?" She asked, her heart racing with anticipation.

"Half past two," Ric replied promptly.

Encouraged by his quick response, Saakshi decided to leap. "If you don't mind, can I come?" She asked, her fingers hovering over the send button as she anxiously awaited his reply. Her mind was torn between the fear of rejection and the hope that he might agree.

"Why?" Ric's reply came after a nerve-wracking ten-minute wait.

"It's something like a send-off," Saakshi replied, deciding honesty was the best policy.

"Okay then meet me at the station" I was jumping with excitement on the road and everyone was looking at me. I bowed my head without looking ahead I went to meet him.

I didn't reply to him... Is it appropriate to see him off? What if someone misunderstands us? What if someone from our families caught us? With these thoughts I called Aaron, he's roaming here for Aadhya. I asked him to accompany me to send off Ric. Without thinking too much he agreed with me

As Saakshi approached Ric at the station, her heart fluttered with anticipation. Seeing him wave back filled her with a sense of relief and happiness. Despite her nerves, she was determined to break the ice and start a conversation.

She took a deep breath, trying to calm the butterflies in her stomach. The lump in her throat made it challenging to speak, but she didn't want to let her nervousness hold her back. With each step closer to Ric, her mind raced with thoughts of what to say. She knew Ric well enough to understand that he was not likely to initiate the conversation himself, so she felt a responsibility to take the first step.

Saakshi

" Thank you, Saakshi," he said. Omg for the first time, he called me by my name. But I'm confused as to why he's thanking me.

" Huh ?" I raised my brows at him for his answer. Am I misheard him?

" Thank you for coming" I hadn't done anything great I just came to see him off then why he's thanking me for a small reason?

" It's not a Big Deal " I was lost for words. I've no idea what I'm supposed to say. We stood there like statues.

"Have you had your lunch" I tried to talk with him this is much better rather than being silent. I observed one thing every time we were conversing about food.

" I had and You "When I asked him about his lunch I anticipated this answer from him. This is what happens every time.

" Not yet " I whispered he said nothing. I intertwined my fingers. I'm looking for Aaron, he's always like this he never comes at the right time. Dilly dallying person. I was thinking about him, Aaron came. Aaron and Ric's chit-chatted for some time.
