"What did you do?", Ford's question was clearly directed towards the male figure sitting across the bed working on the laptop
"Why do you think I've done something?", Fourth looked up from his laptop screen, the glasses perched perfectly across his nose added an intellectual charm to his handsome face.
"Why else is this sudden important meeting with Uncle?", Ford looked at Fourth still a bit confused
A week has passed since the night chase incident, and the days that followed have been surprisingly uneventful. Both Fourth and Ford found themselves buried in their regular training sessions and university assignments. Despite the occasional flirtations and advances from classmates, neither of them paid much attention, their minds focused on their responsibilities.
During this time, Ford discovered an intriguing lead related to a potential rival gang, but without solid evidence, they chose to bide their time. Fourth, meanwhile, spent several late nights at the library, researching for a major paper on business and tech laws. They also had a few run-ins with overly enthusiastic students, charmed by their reputations and looks, but such distractions were easily brushed off.
In on of the memorable training sessions Ford finally once in a long time successfully disarmed Fourth in a mock duel, earning a rare laugh from his friend. Despite the calm, both knew it was only a matter of time before their next challenge surfaced. And it actually surfaced when Mr. Jirochtikul informed the two boys to meet in office in the next hour.
He never asks for a meeting this formally until it's something really important, or until they have fucked up big time. Ford can't shake off the feeling, he probably knows why this meeting is, Uncle War (War is the short for Wannarat) has heard him talking to Phuwin, maybe he'll just tell Fourth about it, should he just confess to Fourth. Ford was somehow sure of the reaction he was going to get out of Fourth and that made him unsure of his next move.
"Ford!"
The sudden loud voice calling his name made him snap out of his trance as he saw Fourth staring at him,
"What?", Fourth enquired shutting the flap of laptop, "I am screaming your name the past 5 seconds, where were you?"
"N-nothing", Ford mumbled as he looked away.
Ford's mind was racing, even if uncle was going to talk about this what would he even say to Fourth. That : Fourth, son, your brother doesn't wants to be your underboss and does not even have the guts to tell you that. Ford had thought a lot about it, he just isn't aware how to present it to Fourth.
"DUDE?!?"
"Huh?", Ford's trance broke, startled as he saw Fourth screaming, Fourth had an annoyed look on his face.
"What did I just say?", Fourth's blankly stared at a confused Ford
"What? I don't kn-"
"EXACTLY!! I'M SAYING SOMETHING", Fourth's voice reflects displeasure. For the past 5 mins he said so much and this guy is just staring at the floor, What's with Ford and the floors? Is the floor that much more interesting than him?!?!
Stupid floor and stupid marbles and stupid Ford- Fourth thought.
Both of their thoughts were interrupted as the clock across the room chimed to show the time, the clock has struck 7 in the evening. It's time. They both are supposed to go down to Mr. Jirochtikul's office.
FOURTH'S POV:-
"If you're done with your daily job of admiring the floors, We have somewhere to go sir", I said as I quickly got out of the bed as I noticed my reflection in the mirror.
