FOURTH'S POV:-

I stood in front of the mirror, adjusting the collar of my tailored black suit. The fabric felt luxurious under my fingers, but it did little to comfort the storm inside me. Today was the day I would ascend as the leader of the Jirochtikul clan, but the absence of my parents cast a long shadow over the proceedings.

I sighed, trying to push away the heavy emotions as I meticulously adjusted my suit. My reflection stared back at me with a mix of determination and sorrow. Just as I finished smoothing out the last wrinkle, the door creaked open, and Ford walked in, already dressed in a sharp black suit that matched my own.

Ford's eyes lit up with a mix of pride and affection as he took in my appearance. "Damn, you clean up nice," he said with a grin. "Looking handsome as ever, little brother."

I couldn't help but smile, a rare warmth spreading through me. "Thanks," I replied, my voice carrying a hint of gratitude.

Ford stepped closer, placing a reassuring hand on my shoulder. "Happy birthday, Fotfot."

"Thank you." I said, my smile widening. His words meant a lot to me, more than I could express.

We left my room and made our way downstairs to the grand hall. The estate was buzzing with activity, the air thick with anticipation. Servants were rushing around, putting the final touches on the decorations, and guests were beginning to arrive. As we reached the hall, I took a deep breath, preparing myself for what lay ahead.

The Ascension Ceremony was about to begin. The room was filled with influential members of the clan, all eyes on me. The grand chandelier overhead cast a warm glow, illuminating the opulent hall adorned with gold accents and rich tapestries. The air was thick with the scent of fresh flowers, meticulously arranged in towering vases.

I scanned the crowd, my gaze falling on familiar faces—men and women who had served my family for years. But my attention was inevitably drawn to Gemini, standing by the entrance. True to his word, he was wearing the dark blue tailored suit I had arranged for him. For a moment, I was struck by how handsome he looked. The suit fit him perfectly, highlighting his strong build and commanding presence. I quickly shook off the thought, reminding myself of the animosity between us.

The ceremony commenced, and I stepped forward to take my vows. The room was silent, the weight of tradition and responsibility heavy on my shoulders. I recited the words with conviction, pledging to lead the Jirochtikul clan with honor and strength. Gemini stood beside me as we both signed the official papers, solidifying our roles.

As I signed my name, a wave of emptiness washed over me. My parents should have been here to witness this moment, to guide me through it. Their absence was a constant ache in my heart. But I pushed those feelings aside, focusing on the duty at hand.

After the vows, the ceremonial handover of power was conducted. My father's closest advisors presented me with the clan's insignia, a heavy gold ring adorned with intricate carvings, symbolizing my new position. I slipped it onto my finger, the weight of it a tangible reminder of my new responsibilities.

The ceremony concluded, and I found myself holding a glass of champagne, standing alone by one of the grand windows. The weight of the day settled heavily on me. The view from the window was breathtaking—the sprawling gardens lit by soft lanterns, casting a serene glow over the estate. It was a stark contrast to the turmoil inside me.

The sound of footsteps broke the silence, and I turned to see Gemini approaching. He looked effortlessly composed in his dark blue suit, his every movement exuding a casual confidence that I found both infuriating and captivating.
