A Special Appearance

Chapter 62

Loud thunder echoes through the room as Lynn shoots upright in bed, feeling Jenna also waking up from the loud crash in the skies. "Shit, that was loud as fuck!" Jenna says, clearly frightened. "Yeah I think this storm will be worse than I imagined. I really guess were staying in today." Lynn says. "I honestly don't mind it at all, after what happened yesterday I could go the rest of my life without leaving this place." "Yeah but then you won't be able to show me the set of Wednesday." Lynn smiles, glancing at Jenna's alarm clock, six in the morning. "Fuck" Lynn thinks, but on the upside they have the entire day to catch some rest. "Oh that's the only thing? Not me acting or going outside for exercise. But to show you around set?" Jenna laughs. "Yeah duh, I want to see it so badly." Lynn smiles. "Yeah okay, but still. Don't I have other things to live for?" Jenna sarcastically says. "You do, you live for me." Lynn giggles, putting on a wide smile. "Exactly, now let's get some coffee because I'm definitely not going to be able to sleep again." Jenna says, throwing on an old shirt and pair of sweatpants. Lynn just does the same, not caring anymore. She's too tired right now.

The two of them get downstairs, seeing the rain poor in the garden en hearing it pitter-patter on the roof. "Well fuck, I guess were locked in with nowhere else to go the entire day." Jenna smirks. "So what's the plan?" Jenna asks, acting innocent but Lynn knows exactly what she is getting at with that smirk. "Jenna can't you ever think about anything else than sex?" Lynn groans, putting two cups under Jenna's coffee machine and watching it poor out into the cups. "Hey, hey, hey, who said sex?" Jenna says, purposefully acting badly to irritate Lynn. But Lynn can't help but laugh as she brings over the cups. The two of them look out the backdoor to watch the lightning shoot through the clouds with the eventual following of a loud thunder strike.

"No but genuinely, what's the plan?" Jenna says, letting herself fall down onto the couch and sitting with her legs crossed. "I don't know, nothing I guess? We could just put on some movie..." "And chill." Jenna says smirking. "And relax." Lynn clarifies. She just opens Netflix on Jenna's flatscreen and presses the shuffle option, they're given some random movie which they just roll with. Jenna grabs a blanket while Lynn sits down next to her. Jenna throws the blanket over the two of them and grabs her cup of coffee again.

Lynn doesn't really pay attention to the movie, she's just looking outside, at the pouring rain and the sky which is lit up every few seconds. Hearing the loud thunder over the house as Lynn can remember when she was four, sitting in class when it was also storming. Remembering the fear she felt back then, but compared to now, it was actually more. Now she has Jenna to comfort her, to put her at ease.

"What's up?" Jenna asks. "Nothing, just that this thunder is kind of scaring me, I don't know why but I've always had something with storms." "Want me to hold you?" Jenna asks casually. "You would do that for me?" "Yeah of course Lynn, you're my girlfriend just as much as I am yours. If your scared I would love to make you feel better." This simple sentence was enough to put tears to Lynn's eyes. "Thanks, I'd love that." Lynn softly says. So Jenna's gets in the position Lynn always lays before they go to sleep when the two of them put away their cups and now Lynn crawls half on top of Jenna. When she feels Jenna's arm wrap around her it's like all of her worries disappear in an instance. She feels amazing, safe, she just feels fucking nice.

So Lynn cuddles up to Jenna with a soft smile on her face, looking towards the tv but still not paying any attention to the movie. She listens, Jenna's heartbeat, it's so calm, so relaxing. Almost like a metronome that puts Lynn to sleep almost instantly, she feels her eyes fall shut, feeling the safety of Jenna's arm and hearing the calmness in her heartbeat. Lynn slowly dozes off, falling asleep in her beautiful girlfriends arms.

"Wake up babe, I want to show you something." Jenna says, tapping Lynn's shoulder as she wakes up. "Hmmm, hmmm what's up." Lynn says sleepily. "Want to cry?" Jenna smirks. "What, no why?" Lynn says, looking up at her girlfriend to be met by her smiling face. "What do you want." Lynn says, letting her head fall back against Jenna's chest. "A while back I played in this movie that I thought was important but I also think it would be funny to see you cry over it. Because you a hundred percent will." "Why would I want to watch it then." Lynn says, seeing the movie already set to play, The Fallout. "Because it has your beautiful, amazing and very talented girlfriend playing in it?" "Don't forget giant ego!" Lynn smirks. "Sure fuck it, we don't have anything better to do. Just put it on." After a quick squeal of excitement Jenna presses play and sits back smirking, glancing in between the screen and Lynn. Lynn gets kind of nervous but just decides to ignore it.

As they are done watching the movie, Lynn has cried multiple times. Being struck by almost every scene that was supposed to have impact. "Told you, you would cry." Jenna smirks after clicking away. Lynn hits Jenna with a flat hand, still tears in her eyes. "Shut up you amazing actress." Lynn cries.
