A Special Appearance

Chapter 41

Lynn and Jenna walk onto the streets, they are still pretty empty. There is a surprising amount of thrash everywhere. Bottles, firework and party hats. "Wow it looks like people had fun." Jenna chuckles. She holds Lynn's arm which is wrapped around her shoulder. Lynn is still surprised to see this clingy and sweet Jenna. She isn't complaining but it's such a character switch from the teasing and uncomfortable horny Jenna. They walk to the restaurant as they look around, Lynn can still clearly remember when she walked Jenna to her house for the first time, even though it was only a week ago it feels much longer. So unbelievably much has happened in this week, so good some very bad. But Lynn is happy with the eventual outcome.

"Here we are, and look who's waiting for us." Jenna points at something. Lynn traces her finger to find her mom already smiling and waving at them. Then Lynn starts getting nervous. "Oh mom is probably gonna freak out and get all weird, please god don't let her make Jenna uncomfortable or something." Lynn thinks as they walk up to her mom. "Hey girls! Don't you two look happy." Lynn's mom hugs them both tightly. "Yeah we are, how about we head inside then we can talk." Lynn smiles. Lynn's mom nods and they enter the restaurant. The three of them sit down where they sat last time and order a coffee. "So what did you want to talk about Lynn?" her mom asks as the waitress leaves. "Well...actually we wanted to talk about something." Lynn looks at Jenna who is clearly very nervous. Lynn intertwines her fingers with Jenna's and takes a deep breath. "Jenna and I...are together, we love each other." Lynn chuckles stupidly, her moms face doesn't change for a second. To Lynn this second feels like an hour, she is too nervous and her mom pulls this. "I KNEW IT!" Lynn's mom laughs loudly. Lynn and Jenna look confused at Lynn's mom. "You knew it? How did you know it!? I didn't even know it!" "I told you that I saw something between you two! It was more than just acting, I saw how you acted around Jenna and I saw the look in Jenna's eyes." Jenna sits up with a small still confused smile. "You saw that I was in love with Lynn by my look?" Jenna asks. "Yeah I saw that behind the teasing you did was an actual caring look. I saw you looking at Lynn while she was talking. I just knew it." "Oh god I feel even more stupid now, my mom realized I was in love before I did myself!" Lynn covers her face from embarrassment while still laughing slightly. "So does that mean that you're okay with...us?" Jenna asks hesitantly. "Of course I am, I love Lynn and I love you too Jenna. Now that you're dating my daughter you belong in our little family." Lynn's mom smiles. Lynn looks at the stunned Jenna, she is about to cry. "C- can I hug you." Jenna asks softly. Lynn's mother nods sweetly and Jenna jumps up to embrace her. Lynn is genuinely shocked by Jenna's sudden affection. "I'm sorry but I never really had anyone tell me that. Thank you." Jenna sniffles as she sits back down. "Oh that's okay Jenna, from now on you're a Hutton. If Lynn ever does anything you want to talk about or just in general. I'm here for you." Now Lynn starts crying too. "Now I am really curious to how this all happened, a few days ago you didn't even think about being with Jenna. And now look at you two!" Lynn's mom says. So Lynn tells the story, everything. They order lunch halfway through the story and continue to drink their coffee throughout. "And then I confessed to Jenna that I loved her and that I just couldn't let her go." Lynn rubs Jenna's hand as she holds it. "And then we kissed, like really heavily." Jenna smirks. Lynn start blushing bright red "JENNA! Not in front of my mom!" "Ah come on Lynn, I think it's sweet, you two finally got together and a passionate kiss is fitting at that point I'd say." Lynn's mom says. "Anyway! So then we talked and decided to actually be together. And then this morning we actually decided when to leave for LA." Lynn takes a bite out of her sandwich. "Oh yeah? When's that?" Lynn's mom asks. "Tonight, Jenna already had a flight booked and we were able to get the seat next to her. So we are leaving home around six to make sure we can catch our flight." "Lynn! Omg when was the last time you've flown! Let alone without me. Are you sure you're okay with this?" Lynn's mom says worried. "Yeah I'm fine, excited and a bit nervous but fine." Lynn smiles. "Oh girls I'm so happy for you two, have fun and make sure to keep contact." Lynn's mom smiles widely. "Yes mom, we will." Lynn's mom her smile fades. "Really I want a text every day so I know you're no dead." Lynn nods softly. "Mom I promise. I will text you every day and I promise to take some pics too." "And I promise to keep Lynn safe." Jenna smiles. "Okay great," Lynn's mom starts tearing up "please have a lot of fun and experiences that you can keep with you." Lynn quickly hugs her mom. Lynn looks over her shoulder to see Jenna there, she waves her over and Jenna quickly jumps into the hug with them. "Unfortunately I should get going, I still need to get some work done." Lynn's mom says as they eventually let go. "Mom you work too much, just relax." Lynn chuckles. "I'm not old enough to take it easy, I'm enjoying life the way I want it." They hug once more and then Jenna and Lynn's mom hug. Lynn's mom offers to pay but Jenna is quick with pulling out her card. After they pay the three of them walk out and go their separate ways. "Well that went great I'd say. Glad my mom was okay with us." "I'm actually so thankful for your mom, she honestly is everything I want in a mom. You're lucky." Jenna chuckles shortly before falling silent. "Hey, you're lucky now too, as my mom said: You are a Hutton now. You are part of our family." Lynn reaches her arm around Jenna. Jenna quickly pulls her closes and gives her a quick peck on the cheek. "Your amazing Lynn Hutton. I'm lucky to have you." Jenna says. Lynn sheds a quick tear and hugs Jenna tight. "I love you Jenna, I know this is all weird to you but I love you." Lynn makes sure to let Jenna know she is okay with giving her the time to warm up to the couple-y stuff.
