Chapter 32: new house!

I woke up at 4:38 am with a feeling of fear. I shook Chandler's shoulder.
"Chandler." I said
"Yeah." He said looking in to my eyes.
"Something's not right."
"What do you mean. I liked the doors before bed."
"Not that, my belly." He gets up and put his pants on and shoes.
"We're leaving right now." He said fully awakened. He helps me into a ride and we get in to the car and drive to the ER. He held my hand the whole way there. We got out and say in the waiting room for what felt like ages. Chandler held my hand as we prayed asking Heavenly Father to keep our babies safe. Later they took us in and the doctor gave me an ultrasound.
"Ok let's have a look. I sure everything is fine." She put jelly on my belly and rubbed the stick around. A tear fell down my face.
"Everything looks great! Would you like to know the genders?" The doctor asked.
"Yes!" Chandler said wiping my ear.
"You are having a boy and a girl, congratulations!" I couldn't believe her. I believed the part about the gender but I still didn't feel good inside. Chandler and I drive home and went back to bed. I'm only 20 weeks. Later that day we went grocery shopping.
"We need carrots." I say looking at my list.
"Since wen do you like carrots?" He asked.
"I don't but they do." I say pointing to my belly.
"What are we going to name them?" Chandler says putting a bag of carrots in the cart.
"Maverick and Bently." I say
"I love those names." He says kissing me. We finish shopping and go to babies R us. Chandler gets a cart and we start a never ending shopping trip.
"Do you have a list?" He asked.
"I think I'm going to ask for help." I say laughing.
"That's probably better than us winging it." He says. I walk over to a lady.
"Hello, do you need some help?" She asks
"Yes, fist time mother." I say.
"Ok, I'm Bea. How many?" She asks
"2, boy and girl." I say
"Oh congratulations."
"Thank you." We walk over to Chandler.
"Is this the father?" She asks shaking Chandler's hand.
"Yes."
"I'm Bea." She says. We start our adventure in the crib area. We get 2 cribs. I didn't tell you yet but we are moving to a 4 bedroom house in West Jordan in my grandparents neighborhood. They kids will have their own rooms. Mavericks room will be sailor themed and bently's room will be bird/forest theme. I'm so excited to be a mom! We got diapers, pacifiers, bottles,toys , blankets, car seats, strollers, gate for Emerson, and so much more. These baby are expensive! I'm so happy we have good playing jobs. Chandler now has his own pediatrician office and I have my dream job a LDS family services. I'm so sad that I will have to leave for a few months while they babies are born. On our way home we stopped at Home Depot and got paint for the rooms. We are moving in to the house next week! I'm so excited! We got white and light blue for Maverick and light brown for Bently. I can't wait to decorate! The house is going to look gorgeous! Chandler and I room is burnt orange , grey and white themed. It looks so good. The rest of the house is white and light green. My kitchen is big! The backyard has a small patio. This house is going to be a lot of work but we have a interior designer for help. Wen we get home we start packing more kitchen utensils and plates. I'm sad to move out of our little apartment but we have a new chapter in our lives with 2 new munchkins. I can't wait! Chandler is napping in the couch and I see the photos from our wedding on the kitchen table. I sit down and look at it. I pick up the one wen we had cake face. I start to cry. Chandler got up.
"B,what's wrong?" He says. He walks over and rubs my back.
"Look at how far we are!" I say smiling.
"I know. I'm so happy I'm with you, in this." He said kissing my cheek.
"You know the scare we had this morning?" I ask
"Yeah."
"I still don't feel good. I feel like something is wrong, still." I say.
"Do you want a blessing?" He asks. I nod. Chandler calls his dad and my dad to come over. They get here and they give me a blessing for comfort and guidance through my pregnancy. After they take their hands off my head I hug them. I'm so happy to have them in my life. They leave and I start on dinner.
"Feel better?" He asks
"Much better." I say hugging Chandler. He holds me for a good 20 minutes before I let go.
"what are we having?" He asks
"Spaghetti chicken." I say
"Sounds good." He brings a basket of laundry to the couch and starts folding clothes. I pull out my phone and take a picture.
"What?" He says laughing.
"I'm capturing a moment that may never happen again." I say laughing.
"Step one: pick up the item of clothing, step two: fold step three: put away." He says. I'm uncontrollably laughing.
"Thank you." I say.
"Your welcome my love." He says kissing me. After dinner we decided to go down and look at the house. It was completely built, and we couldn't wait to move in. As we walked to the car I turned around and saw my grandparents house right across the street. Chandler came behind me and wrapped his arms around my belly.
"They're getting bigger." He says in my ear. I turn around.
"Thanks for reminding me I'm fat." I say gatting in the car.
"B, your not fat, your gorgeous." He says.
"Thank you. Let's go home." I say. We drove home. The drive was only an hour. I can't wait to finally start this new chapter!
