Chapter 23- Zip linning

We woke up to the sound of beating drums and dancers in the beach. I got dressed and waited for Chandler, he was taking a long time.
"Let's go, please. I'm hungry." I said
"One sec." He said looking through his suitcase.
"What are you looking for?" I asked
"The earrings I got you."
"The ones that security found in your pocket?" I asked
"Yes! Pocket!" We walked over to his pair of pants he wore yesterday and looked in the pocket.
"No, they aren't there." He said messing up his hair.
"Don't stress. They are just earrings, right?"
"No, there...."
"What? You already proposed."
"They are sapphires."
"Oh my gosh, Chandler!" I got up and we searched our hotel.
"The massage!!" He said.
"Wen we changed our clothes it must have fallen out." I said. We walked down to the lobby and to the massage hut.
"Excuse me, did you happen have a black box with earrings in it?" Chandler asked the lady.
"You check dressing room." He said. We walked and looked. No earrings. We came out and saw another lady holding the box.
"Lots to learn, boy!" She said handing Chandler the earrings.
"Thank you so much!" He said
"You be careful. There aren't enough good people in the world."!
"Thank you!" I said.

We walked back in the hotel.
"You got sapphire? Are you Kidding me right now?"
"If you do t like them I'll take them back." He said sarcastically.
"Oh I want them." I said. He opened the box and took out the heart shaped sapphire earrings. I took out my cheap studs and Chandler put in the new ones.
"Oh my gosh! Their gorgeous! Thank you honey." I said kissing him.
"Now I'm hungry, let's go." We walked to the breakfast area. We picked up a plate and got our breakfast. After we ate Mana came and took us to the hiking place. The drive was only 15 minutes. When we arrived he gave us back packed and water.
"I will be leading you on this adventure please stay close and don't wonder off." Mana said
"Sounds good." I said. We hiked up mountains and hills. We saw the tallest trees. We saw many different birds and plants. It was quite a hike.
"You will recognize there are no monkeys or parrots." Mana said
"How come?" Chandler asked
"Because they were not brought here by the Europeans." We saw many lizards and horses. Lots of pigs too.
"Those are wild goats." Mana said pointing to a very ugly goat.
"Hey Mana, what do you call a goat with one eat?" Chandler asked
"I do not know."
" van goat."
"Hahaha. You good at jokes!!" Mena said. Men's showed us wildlife. After a while if hiking we stopped to eat lunch. Our lunch consisted of peanut butter and jelly sandwiches and some corn chips with guacamole. Yes very weird indeed. Mana had Escargot. Witch looked repulsive in my opinion.
"How is it?" Chandler asked pointing to Mana's lunch.
"Very good, sir. Would you like one?"
"Sure, why not."
"Gross, Chandler!" I said. Mana handed him one and showed him how to eat it. Chandler then stuck it in his mouth and are it. He gave writes looks.
"Wrong move?" I asked
"I do t know how I feel about it. It isn't bad but the texture is awful."
"Hahah! I love watching non-native tourists eat Escargot!" Mana said
"That's so nasty." I said with my nose scrunched up.
"You want some?" Chandler asked
"I'm good." We all got up and continued our hike. Chandler kissed me out of surprise.
"Eww! Are you kidding me!"
"That's payback for the pee snow." He said
"That was more than 2 years ago. Your still bitter?"
"Not bitter anymore." He said laughing. We approached a water fall.
"Can we swim, Mana?"
"Yes, tourists swim all the time. But don't pee in the water. There is a parasite that will swim up your whoo Ha."
"Ok thanks." I said laughing.
"That's for big man too."
"Ok." Chandler said.
"You can swim under one condition." Mana said
"What?" Chandler asked
"I get in too."
"Hahah. If your up for it I guess." I set down my pack and took of my shoes. I was wearing and short sleeve shirt and shorts. Chandler took off his shirt, shoes and pack. Mana, I'm not going to stay what all he took off 😬. Chandler and I jumped in. We slashed around a bit. Then I couldn't see him. I saw Mana though. We was about to jump off a rock and slipped in anyway.
"Mana, are you ok?!" He came back up
"Surprisingly that didn't hurt." He said. Just than something touched my feet and I screamed.
"What's wrong mrs. Riggs?" Mana asked
"Something touched my feet!" I said panting.
"You you mean someone?" He said laughing. I turned around and saw Chandler.
"You butt head!" I said hitting his chest.
"Oh come, it was a joke." He said tying to pull me in. I resisted but I have in. He hugged me.
"Just a joke, don't me mad." He said in a soothing voice.
"Sorry I hit you." I said he laughed
"That hurt!" He pulled me away and kissed my forehead.
"Let's go zip lining!" He yelled. We all got. Mana had towels for us and we dryed off. We put our shoes and pack back on and continued our hike to the zip lining. Wen we arrived their were 2 huge men at the end and beginning of the zip line.
"I've always wanted to do this!" I said to Chandler. He took my hand and climbed up the ladder. At the top the huge dude said "how much do you weigh?"
"Excuse me?" I said
"For the harness." Mana said
"Oh." I said. I told him my weight and he put a blue harness on me.
"Don't push hard Chandler." I said but no he just had to push with all his might.
"CHANDLER YOU BUTT!" I screamed going down the mountain.
"Your turn." I yelled to him. They out a green harness of him and he cheered coming down. The huge man took off our harnesses and we walked down the hill to Mana.
"Are you ready to go back?" He asked
"Yes, you wore us out today." Chandler said. We hiked back to the car. In the car I fell asleep on Chandler's sholder.

Wen we arrived at our hotel we went up to our room.
"I wished we had gotten the massage today." I said rubbing my back. Chandler went behind me and rubed my shoulders til we got to our room. He opened the door and I flopped on the bed and too a nap. We woke me up after we showed.
"Your turn." He said. After my shower it was around 9:30pm our time.
"This time difference is killing me." I said looking at the room service menue.
"Yeah me too." He said. I ordered grilled shrimp with exotic fruit and Chandler ordered papaya chicken. The waiter knocked on our door and brought the cart of food in. Chandler payed him and tipped him. He left and we ate our dinner. After dinner we were so pooped we just fell asleep.
"Did you pee in the water?" Chandler asked
"No did you?"
"Maybe."
"What?!"
"Just kidding. Goodnight."
"Goodnight."
