Bradley:
*BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP*

Bradley yawned as he went to shut off his phone alarm, Monday already?

Sunday had flown by pretty fast, Sunday was shopping day but Bradley decided to go alone, he knew what Max liked to eat anyway and things were already odd between them.

Besides, Max had left somewhere early morning on Sunday and Bradley couldn't help but wonder if it was because of Saturday evening.

Slipping on his socks, Bradley was painfully quiet to listen for Max. It was pretty early in the morning and Max didn't wake up until about 30 minutes before class. He was one of those guys that kinda rolled out of bed and walked out.

"Ugh" thought Bradley, he hated guys like that, how do you simply wake up and do the bare minimum and figure "that's good enough". At least max pulled it off well thought Bradley, wait what??

After that Bradley decided to stop thinking.

Making breakfast was easy, Bradley had bought a bunch of different flavored bagels for every day of the week, this morning was blueberry. He slipped them out of the toaster and lifted his bag from the hook on the door and off he was to his first class, English.

Bradley liked to think he was pretty good at English, he was in honors all of middle school and Highschool and never got below a 96% in the subject. "What can I say? I'm just good with my words" he would brag to his brother who was definitely not amused. College English was pretty simple,  If you have the structures down it's pretty easy to write and write well, it's hard to understand why anyone could struggle, thought Bradley.

While fiddling with his pencil, leaning on his up right hand, Bradley began to focus on parts of the room, analyzing every inch. It's amazing what you result to when you're bored.

"What the heck are you looking for??" Asked a girl holding books on her chest, she sounded quite snobby.

But Bradley was simply waiting for the bell to ring and he felt immediately defensive

"What??? Why the hell do you care??" He asked before realizing she was just curious.

"Oh myy...." She sighed as she sat down right next to him.

Alarm hit Bradley and he straightened his posture even more than he had before. What is this girls issue???

Silence hit for a few moments and as she relaxed in her chair, making herself comfortable Bradley felt even more confused.

"You see those guys over there....?" She asked, turning to Bradley

Hesitantly, he nodded his head.

"Well they're fucking assholes, I can't take sitting in front of them any longer. Hopefully you don't suck as much." She stated in a low voice staring down at her paper.

She seemed careless to what she had just said and acted as if she did not need a reaction from Bradley, she just started to write the date and class period on her notebook paper.

The way she talked reminded Bradley of himself, it would actually be quite nice to have someone's company that wasn't his damn roommate. They were both silent the entire class and Bradley had felt as it was important to be near someone he could not talk with, he hoped he wasn't like the other guys she sat near.

Max:
"SHIT" murmured max under his breath, he had totally forgotten his assignment that was due Monday. The whole Bradley thing had completely thrown off his motivated start to the year. Max rolled his eyes to himself and skated off

Waking up late, missing an assignment, and wasting so much of his energy on whatever the hell Bradley's going through, this whole situation is just confusing?? Doesnt Bradley have a bunch of friends? Max constantly hears girls talking about how cute he is and he thought the only people that didn't like Bradley were the Gamas.

Come to think of it Bradley probably enjoys being alone, it's better for everyone else anyway. It's not Max's problem, it isnt at all and why should he even care about this guys issues, he was a dick anyway. Just a dick that was forced into his life.

Rushing through the history assignment in his biology class, he quickly finished both biology and history. Not his best work but hey, nothing ever really is. The rush got him through the class pretty fast and he could head to history at ease.

Though Max had been dreading history, he did not want to see Brad. Stupid Brad. At least he would be on an off period after. Just one more class.
.
.
.
This would be the first time max had seen Bradley socialize with someone that wasn't him since the school year started. A pretty blonde girl with pink and purple highlights was laughing with him near the end of class.

What did she say that was so funny? Bradley's laugh bothered max and he was surprised he could hear it from across the room considering he wasn't even being loud.

Max rolled his eyes to himself and refocused on the document assigned until the bell had finally rang. He bolted for the door and made his way to the cafeteria.

Bradley:
You could say Bradley wasn't very aware of his own surroundings. English blondie had found him in his history class too. Well technically speaking Bradley had found her.

He had been wondering around with his eyes when he spotted her, sitting there and apparently wondering with her eyes too, this class was especially intolerable.

Considering Bradley had absolutely no friends, he thought "what could go wrong attempting to make one?".

As she stuffed her books into her bag he approached her

"Looks like you're following me blondie"

He tried to sound smug and teasing but maybe it didn't quite come out that way.

She chuckled
"Don't get too excited, there's on about 3 history classes in this university, I promise it's a coincidence."
She didn't even look at him, huh. Bradley wasn't used to this reaction

"The way you walk is kinda funny though" she added

"What?! The way I walk is just fine."
Replied Bradley almost pouting

"Sure! If waddling like a penguin is...just fine"

She couldn't contain her laughter and made eye contact with Bradley for the first time since they met this morning.

Bradley tried to act extremely offended but he couldn't, he began to laugh with her and they walked out together.

As the silence of the joke dying became more awkward she finally broke out

"I'm Eleanor...by the way..."

She sounded shy almost and it was a very different kind of vibe than who she had out on for him earlier.

"Oh! I'm Bradley"

"I know, I've heard about you from the gamas group last X games season...pretty crazy"

Bradley froze, of course she did. Who didn't know him from that incident?

"Don't worry it's nothing bad, I found it pretty noble that you formally and publicly apologized."

She started

"Must have costed you though, it's clear you have no friends...kinda like me"

Bradley was a bit surprised and as they sat down at a table in the cafeteria and she realized he wasn't going to add to that comment, she went on.

"Well I mean obviously I'm not completely alone, I have a boyfriend! He just goes to a college across town. It sucks starting over."

Bradley was really intrigued and he couldn't tell if that was the insane loneliness talking or if she was actually interesting but he was happy to have a friend. Yeah, a friend.
