FRIDAY
1:34 PM

MADISONS POV:

We finally made it to my aunt and uncle's house! I pull in the driveway, and see my aunt, uncle, and Hope standing near the front door.
I tell Scarlett and Rose to go greet them, while I bring all the bags inside.

"Hope!" I shout as I pick her up for a hug. I spin her around and put her back down.

"Well, hello to you too." My Aunt Paulie says and I laugh. I pull her in for a hug, and hug my Uncle as well.

"Hope already knows who they are..." I say and point to Hope and Rose already inside playing together. "Guys, meet Scarlett! And her lovely daughter Rose." I say and point to the little blonde girl inside.

"It's very lovely to meet you!" Aunt Paulie says as she hugs Scarlett immediately. I can see Scarlett was a bit nervous, so I placed my hand on her lower back to let her know she's okay.

"We've heard so much about you. It's a pleasure." My uncle Matty says in his reluctant British accent. I look over at Scarlett who seems to be smiling.

Scarlett turns to me.
"Does mostly everyone in your life happen to be British?" She asks and I laugh.

"Well, please come in! I'll show you the room you'll be staying in." My aunt says and she guides us inside the house.

"You have a lovely home." Scarlett says in awe as she looks around, amazed. My aunt thanks her and we continue to follow her upstairs.

She points to a room with the door open, letting us take a look. "This is where Hope has been staying, I assumed Rose would want to stay in here too, but if not it's alright." She says and Scarlett looks at me.

"I think it's perfect." I tell her and she nods, agreeing with me and telling my aunt it's okay.

I laugh at the fact that she asked for my thoughts and opinions. It couldn't help but make me feel like I was a part of her family or something.

My aunt guides us to another room, and points to it. "Now, I'm not sure what the situation is here... But here is one guest room, and if you two happen to need another, this one just across the hall is yours too." She says and my eyes go wide.

She thinks we're a couple?

I look over at Scarlett who seems to be already staring at me. I then notice the blank expression on her face, but I watch as her mouth tugs in a smug smile. My aunt goes back downstairs to let us decide. I look at Scarlett.

"I think we should stay in different rooms."
"I wouldn't mind sharing a room."

We say at the same time. Oh.

"Yeah, sharing a room would be fun."
"Different rooms sounds cool."

We say at the same time again.

"Let's stay in different rooms."
"Let's stay in different rooms."

Ah, better.
Wait. Different rooms? No, I wanted this. Different rooms is better. We can't share the same bed. That's weird. Separate rooms is good because we are just friends.
____

"Dinner girls!" I hear my aunt yell from down the stairs.

Hope, Rose, and I run downstairs, after playing an intense game of monopoly. Scarlett did not play because she said she had work to do. I didn't fail to take a peak at her when she was working in her room and the door was a crack open. She was wearing her glasses and had her hair tied back in a messy bun. She was cute.

We take our seats at the table, Hope and Rose on one side, Scarlett and I on one side, and my aunt and uncle at the head of the table.

"So! Tell us about yourself, Scarlett. I feel like we know everything but nothing about you." My uncle says as he takes a bite of the chicken.

I always found chicken dry. You have to cook it right with the right seasoning. Or else it's gross. Or maybe I just didn't like this chicken.

Scarlett looks up at him, and looks over at me. "Well, you already know I am a famous actress."

He nods his head, letting her know to continue.

".. I also am a singer and producer." She says. This catches my aunts eye.

"You sing?" She asks surprised like she never would have guessed that. I slightly laugh and look over at my aunt.

"You know that porcupine in the singing movie that Carter loves so much?" I ask her. Carter is my mom's sister's nephew or something. Anyways, she knows who I was talking about.

"Scarlett plays her." I say and she gasps. She swears she has to get a picture to show Carter that she met the singing porcupine.

We continue to eat, and just small talk throughout the time. Everyone went back to their rooms, and I still sat in the dining room. I sit in silence until I hear the sink running. I thought it was weird because my aunt already went up to head to sleep. Even though it was only 9 pm. Something about her needing her beauty sleep.

I decided to get up and check out where the noise was coming from. I walk over to the kitchen, a bit scared because I didn't know what to expect. When I turn the corner, I immediately see a blonde woman scrubbing plates and cups.

"You know you don't have to do the dishes?" I ask her as I walk closer to her and the sink. She looks at me with a smile. Aw.

"I know. But I want to. It's the least I can do since she is letting me stay in her home." Scarlett assures me and I just nod. I really couldn't do anything about it now because there were two more plates left.

"Are you liking it so far? If not we can go back home.." I ask her as I lean against the counter and face her.

She looks at me and laughs. What's so funny?
"No, darling. It's great here. It's nice to get away from the city scenery for a while."

I slightly blush at the pet name. Darling. I look at her as she dries her hands, and comes closer to me. She puts her hand slightly on my stomach, and looks at me directly in the eye.

"I don't think it's hot in here.. but somehow your cheeks are pink." She says with a devious smile.

"It's because I'm cold." I quickly say to hopefully cover up the fact that I am completely blushing right now.

"Come on. Let's go put Hope and Rose to bed and maybe we can have some alone time after?" Scarlett asks as she takes my hand in hers and drags me upstairs.

I smile as the strong woman pulls me.

I really can't get enough of her.

I think..

I think I like Scarlett.

No, we already know that.

I think..

...
..

I think I love Scarlett.
