bodys, car seat headrest

The day of the festival finally came, everyone putting their efforts training to the ultimate test. Each class was separated into their own waiting rooms and Juniper found herself making a small tornado while stretching.

Iida entered the room and got everyone's attention right away, as he usually managed to do, "Everyone, are you ready? We will be entering soon!!"

Over the past two weeks, Juniper's quirk had started to eat away at her. She blankly stared at the mini whirlwind as Shoto walked over to a student, "Midoriya."

The anxious greenette turned to face him, "Todoroki? What is it?"

"Looking at things objectively, I think I'm stronger than you," the half and half boy stated. The rest of the class watched as tension slowly filled the room as Midoriya just nodded. "But... All Might has his eye on you, doesn't he?"

Midoriya very obviously tensed up, not making it seem like Shoto's accusations were in any way incorrect.

Shoto continued, "I'm not trying to pry about that. But I'm going to beat you." He glanced toward the unstable girl who was stretching on her own, "You too, Kujo."

Kaminari seemed interested in their conversation, "Oh?? Is one of the strongest in class making a declaration of war? I thought you and Juniper were friends though..."

Meanwhile, Kirishima got up from his seat and put a hand on the peppermint boy's shoulder, "Hey, hey, hey! Why are you picking a fight all of a sudden? With two different people? Not when we're about to start!"

Elbowing Kirishimas arm off of his shoulder, Shoto spoke, "We're not here to play at being friends. We aren't friends at all. So what does it matter?"

Midoriya clenched his hands into fists at his side, "Todoroki, I don't know what you're thinking when you say you'll beat me, but of course you're better than me. I think you're more capable than most people... Looking at it objectively. But everyone! Students from the other courses are aiming for the top with everything they've got! I'll be going for it with everything I have too."

Nodding, Shoto started leaving the room, "Yeah." Against his better judgement, he glanced back at Juniper to see her reaction, getting a middle finger eloquently thrown in his face.

As soon as he left, the majority of the tension dissipated as the students got ready to go out. The walk was mainly silent as each person prepared themselves, until Present Mic signaled them in, "It's time for the students to enter the first year stage!!! First up, the miraculous new stars who overcame an enemy attack with their hearts of steel!! Hero course, class 1-A!!!!!"

They walked out onto the field, realizing just how many people had shown up to watch the event. Juniper felt bored, hands twitching a bit at her sides as she waited for the action to begin.

Present Mic continued, "They've had less publicity, but this class is also full of talent! Hero course, class 1-B! Next up, general studies classes C, D, and E!! Support course classes F, G, and H are here too!! And business course, classes I, J, and K!!!!!"

All of UA's first year students gathered toward the center of the field, the crowd cheering as Midnight stood on a mini platform. "Time for the player pledge!!"

In the field, Juniper stood between Kirishima and Kaminari, laughing as she noticed most of the crowd blushing and acting flustered upon seeing the pro hero. Kirishima was no outlier, "What is Ms. Midnight wearing?"

Kaminari swallowed deeply as he spoke, comically making a gulp sound, "That's an R-rated hero for you."

"Is it okay for her to teach at a high school even though she's R-rated?" Tokoyami brought up a good point, yet Juniper could care less about what she's wearing. She was only interested in how people would react.
