hayloft II, mother mother

When Juniper woke up, she found herself on the ground of an unfamiliar room. Her wounds were poorly patched up with bandages and clearly not well taken care of. She sat up, lungs feeling like they were on fire and her head pounding more than it has before. Her black shirt was torn up with holes and was soaked in blood while her white hair was slightly black from her blood.

The room around her was empty and made of concrete, with only one door as the way out. With perfect timing, the door opened and Dabi came inside with a wrapped sandwich in hand. He tossed it to the girl who didn't react to catch it, instead getting hit by the sandwich in the side of her head. He closed the door behind him as he spoke, "Nice reflexes."

Juniper groaned, flopping over on her side before curling up into fetal position, "Fucking hell. Where are we?"

Sitting on the ground beside her, Dabi stretched out a bit, "Welcome to the League of Villains headquarters. We're staying here for a bit until things die down. That means staying inside and playing nice, Juni."

She turned to the older boy, floating just above the ground as her quirk slowly took over again, "The fuck? I thought I was allowed to do whatever I wanted, not be imprisoned in some random building."

Dabi poked her face with the sandwich, "You need to eat. Then we'll talk."

Juniper could never resist Toto's words.

She looked up to him more than anyone else. He was her childhood idol, hard working and powerful. She wanted to be just like him. And she was. While eating, she slowly turned around and around in the air. She didn't know what was going on, and her mind struggled to focus on one single thought. "What happened?"

He explained vaguely, sparing many many of the details of what happened after she passed out, "All Might beat All for One and now he is in Tartarus. Shigaraki has been spazzing out and throwing fits all day because of it. You've been out for over a day, I've been checking up on you."

The girl hummed a bit, looking at the boy she needed. Touya was the only one who somewhat knew what she was going through. Like her, their quirks were unstable and bound to kill them from the inside unless they were managed. They understood each other entirely and relied on each other to get through hell.

They met at the Todoroki house when they were young. Juniper would often sit and watch him train his own fire when Shoto was being trained. Touya had ambition and adamantly believed in himself, believing that he could achieve his father's precious dream.

She was the only one who adamantly believed in him and his dream.

Once he had pushed his body past its limits, he only showed her his blue flames. It was still in the process of developing but Juniper could never forget the sight of it. It was just as beautiful as his blue eyes. She supported him, trying to help him fight against his fire and helping him however she could.

He inspired her to keep fighting even when her quirk had begun to develop and slowly overwhelm the girl.

And then, Todoroki Touya died. Juniper was left to fight her quirk on her own. But all alone, it was a losing fight.

"So... what happened to you, Toto?"

Another day had passed with Juniper and Dabi catching up, l sparring a bit with their quirks so the girl wouldn't explode from her quirk being bottled up.

The girl had to be careful. Her quirk had gotten a big bite of her, and was bound to want more. She stood in the middle of a whirlwind, slowly destroying the room around her. Her patience was running thin as she was cooped up in an excruciatingly boring room. Dabi came inside and caught her attention, telling her the worst thing she could hear at the moment, "Juni, I have to go to a meeting with the league."
