The sounds of metal work echoed out quietly amongst the open space of the base. Erend had ventured over to Nureka's room at one point, he was curious and reading on his Focus was starting to make his eyes hurt. Literally, if he read another sentence, he swore his eyes were going to either pop out, or just cross and slowly shut before he had a nap. Leaning against her doorframe, he nodded her way. "What are you working on?" He had asked, still sounding curious as he watched his friend leaning over her desk working away on something.

Her goggles were still over her eyes, so it was hard to see her actual eyes through the dark lenses. She had scooped her curly hair up and off of her face and tied it quickly up and off of her neck. All in all, Erend had to say she had the same frantic appearance as other smiths he had come across. "It's just a shame that there's so much metal laying around."

Erend scoffed and uncrossed his arms to wave a hand her way. "You can thank your Marshal for that one. Not that you didn't aid in the amount laying around. So, what are you doing with it?" Erend just watched as she let out a huffy sounding sigh and waved a hand right back. Erend knew that she knew that he was right. The metal laying around, all those machine parts, were because of Kotallo and her. They needed parts, they found the parts. Erend swore that leftovers from the Frostclaws she fought in the arena were still lurking too...she may have made her armour, but the odd piece was still left behind and forgotten about.

Nureka lifted up the item in her hands, it was sturdy enough that it wasn't going to fall apart. Before Erend appeared, the parts were laying on her desk looking more like a puzzle waiting to be put together. Scratching his cheek, Erend walked in and leaned his hands against the desk. He was careful to not disturb the parts laying there as he looked the pieces over and then at the item in her hands. She was making a bow, honestly, Nureka wasn't sure why she hadn't thought of this sooner. She meant no offence to the makers here, but she wanted a bow that was very reminiscent of her home. The striker bow in her hands, even with it being just the bare bones, was going to be her new project that she hoped she could finish before they needed to go rescue Beta.

"At least you can use up some of the parts taking up room here." Erend eventually said, watching Nureka frown up at him, even a small pout appeared on her face. Erend slowly smirked, he placed a hand on her shoulder and nodded. "Good work though, looks...deadly." That had Nureka laughing quietly, Erend wasn't an archer, definitely not a skill he took up and ran with. But there were sharp angular points to it which, to him, did look very deadly. If an arrow failed, Erend could openly say those points could do some damage if impacted against. "When do you think you'll get it done?" He somehow felt she'd want to have a test of it before needing it for the Zeniths.

Nureka looked over the bow while putting it back down, she shook her head seemingly a bit unsure. "A few hours, if not most of the day." She had started more or less once she had woken. The project came to her in a dream, and she'd be damned if she wasn't going to follow through with this. Kotallo had been confused when he saw how determined she was at such an early time in the morning. He meant no offence by that, but she really always seemed quite reluctant to get out of bed, even more so if she was using him as a pillow in some form or another.

"What's with that face?" Erend had noticed how she suddenly looked distant, the pieces on the desk were seemingly being looked through than at.

"I should've started this earlier."

Erend tilted his head, he couldn't help but chuckle lightly, that had Nureka looking up at him questionably. "I've come to learn that you work best when there's a time limit. You'll get this done; it'll be fine." Although, yes, Erend couldn't help but agree perhaps a few weeks or even days ago might've been a better thing, but here she was doing this here and now, and Erend had zero doubts she would complete her bow. "Say, if you do get it done today, I was going to set out to see if anything was around for dinner, but-"
