"Aloy!" Noticing the redhead striding through the doorway, Nureka stuck up a hand and waved her way. Her other hand was occupied holding her helmet, her fur lined coat already pulled on and secured in place even if that security came via the armour on her body.
Pausing in the middle of a step, Aloy looked her way and diverted to go in her direction. Nureka just watched her approach, a small smile on her face even as Aloy gave her a friendly smile in return. "Today is the today, I take it?" Aloy placed her hands on her hips and assessed the fact that Nureka was clearly suited up for something.
"I figured considering you're here." Nureka said while scratching her neck in thought, a small frown flitted onto her face before it was gone again. "I may have heard Kotallo contact you. Figured he was clearly scheming on testing his arm out sooner rather than later." Nureka paused and gestured a hand her way, "We are the honoured to witness this moment."
Aloy raised an eyebrow and shook her head, "That is certainly one way to put it, I guess." Aloy was more inclined to say that for Nureka, in a way in some part perhaps even similar to herself, a thank you; a thank you to them both, being allowed to go with him to witness what their work had bought.
Nureka scoffed and reached up to pull her hood up, her face may have been slightly in shadow but the smirk pulling at her lips was more than visible. "I'd feel cheated if I couldn't witness this. I didn't suffer eyestrain, slight cuts and burns to my fingertips for nothing." Nureka harrumphed almost, she wasn't even classing the little practice session Kotallo did the other day a real test. She just wished to see he could cope with weapon in hand before literally having an enemy before him. It was successful, yes, but without an actual opponent hitting and lashing out, it was a mystery how the arm would actually cope.
Aloy watched her pop the helmet onto her head and fidget with it to make sure it was comfortable before speaking up. "You deserve this then," Aloy couldn't help but chuckle lightly when Nureka looked at her determinedly and enthusiastically nodded. All joking aside though, Aloy was rather sure Nureka got her gratification in knowing and seeing how Kotallo now was with his arm made. Not that Aloy expected a character change, his disposition was his and would always be the same she imagined, but she did also imagine that going from one limb to two again was a shift which would be quite noticeable. Nureka and Gaia were a huge part of bringing that back to Kotallo, all Aloy did was aid in finding parts, but she'd be happy to see her friend feel completed.
"Shall we? Best not leave the Marshal waiting. Not that I imagine him coming impatiently storming out of his room demanding we leave..." Nureka started and then paused when Aloy just looked at her knowingly. "Okay, maybe I could imagine that." She laughed awkwardly and fell into step with Aloy as they walked around the room to Kotallo's.
"Do you know what he's got planned?" Aloy asked, deciding they'll just leave Kotallo's potential to be short-tempered as it was.
Nureka shook her head, "No. I did wonder if he would just go find the Sunwings which nest above us. But I did ask him, and he said he had a different idea. The thought of testing his arm on climbing to a machine just got bypassed. Personally, I'd rather know the arm could deal with him climbing, but he had other ideas."
"I'm sure whatever he's got planned will be suitable to see that both yours and Gaia's work has held up." Aloy said slowly and got an uncertain look sent sidelong her way. "Though I get the sense you're more worried about his welfare." She crossed her arms loosely then as they paused, not too far away from their destination now.
Nureka turned to her friend and sighed. "It's durable. I do not think the arm is likely to break easily. However, you know as well as I do that machines can hit hard. They can bite harder, and shoot all manner of destructive and corroding substances. My worry is that whatever he has planned is going well, only for something to go wrong, and he gets hurt in the process. Yes, I'm concerned for his welfare, but I do however register that really...if the arm breaks during this plan of his, he's likely to be the one person who'd adapt and recover so quickly...I feel sort of stupid really..."
