Chapter 4: The Mind Stone

Wanda and Vision currently stay together in Scotland, taking time away from the world just to be with each other. Vision struggles with the energy of the mind stone and it tingles and causes him pain. The two decide to take a walk through the city. Vision looks human, as his appearance has been altered his features and structure remain the same yet his skin, hair and eyes are that of a human.

The two had agreed that they had to check in with their groups and couldn't stay together for too long, "So there's a 10 AM to Glasgow to give us more time together before you went back" Wanda proposes as they walk

"What if I miss that train?"

"There is an 11" Wanda adds

"What if I missed all the trains? What if this time, I didn't go back?" Vision says, turning around and facing Wanda

"You gave Stark your word"

"I'd rather give it to you"

"There are people who are expecting me too, you know. We both made promises" Wanda reminds vision of their situation.

"Not to each other. Wanda... For two years, we've stolen these moments, trying to see if this could work. And... I don't know. You know what, I'm just gonna speak for myself. – I, I... I think..." Vision stammers nervously.

"It works" wanda says smiling

"It works" Vision repeats.

"Stay. Stay with me" vision says, but when he sees Wanda looking unsure he adds "Or not. If I'm overstepping..."

Wanda, notices the TV in a nearby building announcing the invasion of earth, and the disappearance of Tony Stark. Showing the destruction and chaos that happening in the city and the creatures that attacked.

"What are they?" wanda asks, placing a hand to her mouth in shock.

"What the stone was warning me about. I have to go" Vision says taking Wanda's hand and kissing it lightly.

"No. Vision. If that's true... Then maybe going isn't the best idea" Wanda says

"Wanda, I..." Vision begins, but Corvus Glaive appears suddenly behind vision, stabbing him through the back. Vision groans as he is lifted into the air.

"Vision!" Wanda shouts, visions form materialises back into his red more robotic state.

Proxima midnight attacks Wanda from behind, and knocks her away. Glaive pins Vision down using his weapon in an attempt to extract the mind stone from Vision's head. Wanda blasts both of them away, then propels Vision and herself into a nearby courtyard where they rest in an alleyway.

"The blade. It stopped me from phasing" Vision explains as Wanda helps him to walk. Leaning him against the wall and using her magic to help pull visions skin back together.

"Is that even possible?" Wanda asks.

"It isn't supposed to be. My systems are failing. I'm beginning to think... we should have stayed in bed" Vision says with a half smile

Glaive arrives again and Vision pushes Wanda out of the way to protect her from the oncoming attack. The creature grabs vision and vision flies them up away from Wanda.

"Vis!" Wanda shouts after him.

Corvus flies away with Vision, pinning him against a wall. Meanwhile, proxima engages Wanda, who uses her magic to deflect her blows.

"Give up the Stone, and she lives" Corvus tells vision

Vision flies with Corvus to the roof of what appears to be a church. Proxima and Wanda are still fighting below. Vision shoots a beam from the mind stone at Corvus, who uses his glaive to deflect it around,this causes an explosion by wanda and deflects the beam back at vision causing him to go crashing into the wall
