Chapter 12: Lost To Ash

Meanwhile on Earth, M'Baku bashes another Outrider - the ground game has improved considerably with the addition of the God of Thunder and The Goddess. His tribesmen are equally successful around him. M'Baku and the other warriors cheer in Xhosa. Thor is in the air, using Stormbringer on the Outrider drop ships which are now retreating. He is having considerably more success than the Wakandan Dragon fliers firing on the fleeing ships.

Aloisia stands protectively by vision, holding her sword in her hands. wanda lands near them as she finally locates Vision. Running over to him she says, "Are you okay?" Aloisia moves slightly to give them their moment but still stands near them to help give them some cover in case they are attacked. Vision flinches in pain before he can answer "What? What is it?" Wanda asks.

"He's here"

Aloisia moves over to where the group stand, Steve, Natasha, Sam, T'Challa, Okoye, ready to defend vision. The wind picks up eerily. The atmosphere is tense.

"Everyone, on my position. We have incoming" Steve says in coms

"What the hell?" Nat asks unsure of what is going on.

Bruce turns and the blue-black clouds of a Space Stone relocation just before Thanos steps forward, Wanda breathes shakily in front of vision as magic forms in her hands. Aloisia's fire glows brighter.

"Cap, thats him" Bruce says confirming this isn't just another member of the Black Order.

"Eyes up. Stay sharp" Bruce reaches Thanos first, lunging forward fist-first - but Thanos uses the Space Stone on him, renders him immaterial until the Hulkbuster is half-buried in the stone of the cliff behind him,and freezes Bruce in place.

Captain America is sent flying by purple energy before he even gets to strike a single blow. The Black Panther, armor fully charged kinetically, leaps high and with claws extended, but is easily grabbed by the throat and punched to the ground, his armor discharging violently

Falcon stoops, strafing with both Steyr pistols, but is felled when his wings become rubbery and unable to sustain flight.

Aloisia eyes glow a bright red fire and shadows spread around her powerfully. She retracts her sword into a ring so she can easily use her powers. Aloisia propels herself at the titan. Dealing a powerful fire fuelled punch to his face. Thanos is knocked back by the blow. Using the space stone to throw her into the air. But Aloisia spins back round charging at him again, she lands in front of him, materialising a dagger from her shadows, she throws it at the titan. Who blocks it, while he is distracted she slides, turning her ring back into a sword while he doesn't expect an attack, stabbing him in the thigh. Thanos is knocked to his knees. But while Aloisia is on the ground by him he charges the power stone, slamming the gauntlet and the stone into her head. She falls to the ground with a groan at the impact. Thanos grabs her leg and throws her, using his other hand to hold is injured leg. Aloisia slams into a tree with a crack. The tree breaks, landing on top of her.

Vision takes Wanda by the hand as the woman looks on fearfully, "Wanda. It's time"

"No"

"They can't stop him, Wanda, but we can. Look at me" vision says, carefully taking her wrist and turning Wanda to face him. "You have the power to destroy the stone" Vision pleads.

"Don't"

"You must do it. Wanda, please. We are out of time" Wanda's lower lip trembles as she tries not to cry. Vision places her hand to his cheek.

Wanda shakes her head, "I can't"

"Yes, you can. You can. If he gets the stone, half the universe dies" Vision places her hand level with the infinity stone in his forehead
"It's not fair. It shouldn't be you, but it is. It's all right. You could never hurt me. I just feel you" Vision says, Wanda extends a shaking hand and starts beaming her energy at the Mind Stone. Crying as she does so
