Chapter 13: Back

SPACE, 2014

2014 Nebula has captured the present Nebula, 2014 nebula shoves nebula to the floor angrily. "You're weak" 2014 Nebula says

"I'm you" Present Nebula says rising from the floor. Past Nebula throws a punch straight at Present Nebula slamming her into the floor again with a groan. Past nebula takes the device from Nebula's wrist that allows them to time travel. 2014 Gamora walks into the room. "You can stop this. You know you want to. Did you see what happens in the future? Thanos finds the Soul Stone. You wanna know how he does that? You wanna know what he does to you?" Present Nebula asks Gamora

Pats nebula runs up to present Nebula, "That's enough" she kicks Present Nebula to the wall and pulls out her Electric Knife. She grabs her around the throat, pulling the knife words her head "You disgust me. But that doesn't mean you're useless" 2014 Nebula steals the golden plate on the side of Present Nebula's face and wears it herself. Then she walks up to Thanos, gives him a Pym Particle and shows him her new look.

"How do I look?" Past Nebula asks Thanos.

VORMIR, 2014

Natasha and Clint begin stare from their ship, looking at the views in front of them. "Wow– Under different circumstances, this would be totally awesome" Clint says. They exit the ship and Natasha and Clint starts walking towards the mountain and climb it.

"I bet the raccoon didn't have to climb a mountain" Nat says, breathing heavily when they arrive at the top.

"Technically, he's not a raccoon, you know" Clint argues

"Oh whatever. He eats garbage" Nat says

"Welcome" A cloaked figure says, Nat and Clint turn quickly drawing their weapons, Nat holds a gun up to him while Clint grabs his Katana. "Natasha, daughter of Ivan. Clint, son of Edith" The figure continues.

"Who are you?" Nat asks, her gun aimed as she walks forward.

"Consider me a guide. To you, and to all who seek the Soul Stone" The cloaked figure explains

"Oh, good. You tell us where it is. Then we'll be on our way"

"Ah, liebchen– If only it were that easy" the cloaked figure steps out of the shadows, revealing a bright red, almost decayed face. Red Skull leads Clint and Natasha to the cliff  "What you seek lies in front of you... as does what you fear"

"The stone is down there" Nat says, looking over the edge of the cliff

"For one of you. For the other... In order to take the stone, you must lose that which you love. An everlasting exchange. A soul, for a soul" Red Skill explains.

Natasha and Clint move away from the edge, Natasha sits on a log while Clint watches the Stonekeeper. "How's it going? Jesus...Maybe he's making this shit up" Clint adds moving over to Natasha

"No. I don't think so" Natasha says, deep in thought. Her hands clasped in front of her chest as she presses them against her wedding ring.

"Why, 'cause he knows your Daddy's name?" Clint asks

"I didn't" Nat explains, Clint looks back at her momentarily before continuing to pace "Thanos left here with the stone without his daughter. That's not a coincidence"

"Yeah"

"Whatever it takes" Nat says

"Whatever it takes" Nat stands and makes her way over to Clint. "If we don't get that stone, billions of people stay dead"

"Then I guess we both know who it's gotta be" Clint begins

"I guess we do" Clint holds Natasha's hand and she reciprocates and they look at each other
