Sam
I woke up comfortably in Steve's warm arms and sighed, turning towards him. His bright blue eyes were already open and watching me with amused curiosity. He smiled and kissed me softly, his warm arms pulling me closer.
'You snore.' he said, a smirk playing on his lips. I started at the accusation and slapped his shoulder playfully.
'I do not!' I denied confidently. He smirked and kissed my nose.
'Don't worry. It's a cute snore.' I laughed and grabbed my pillow, hitting him with it. He laughed in shock, before tackling me onto the bed and attacking me with tickles. I gasped for air between giggles and trying to push him off me. He finally stopped, inning my arms down as he straddled me, giving me a beautiful view of his tanned, toned, strong chest. He smirked, leaning down slowly until he kissed my lips gently. I couldn't help the whimper that escaped me as he pulled away.
He smiled at me, before pulling me up, off the bed. He pulled on a pair of grey sweatpants and a white t-shirt as I rooted around, throwing on the first things that came to hand absent-mindedly. Steve looked back at me from the door and smiled, looking at my attire.
'Nice shirt.' he said, smirking as he looked down at it. I looked down and blushed. I had grabbed a t-shirt with the Captain America shield plastered across the front. I shrugged the blush off and smiled, walking up to him. He grabbed my hand gently and pulled me back as I was about to walk through the door. He rubbed the back of his neck nervously as he looked down at me, a light blush spreading across his face.
'Sam? I... uh... I was wondering... If... i.. if you'd like... to... to be my girlfriend?' he stuttered. I felt my face drop slightly. Was that not what I already was? I watched as the sparkle in his eyes died at my lack of response. I put my hands on either side of his face, turning his head so our eyes met as a small laugh bubbled past my lips.
'Oh honey no. It's not that. I just...' I bit my lip as a blush rose up through my neck, setting my face ablaze. 'I... I kind of thought... that I already was.' I said, my cheeks flushing even more. His eyes brightened again, and he leaned down and kissed me. His arm slid around my waist as my hands slid down and around his neck. And then, the moment was ruined, when my stomach growled like a bear. We broke apart and Steve laughed as I blushed again.
'Come on, let's get you some food.' he said, before taking my hand, smiling widely, and pulling me into the kitchen.
Bruce, Tony and Pepper were there, talking over coffee and bagels. As we walked over, their conversation came to a natural lull, and Tony smiled at me over his shoulder.
'How're ya feeling?' he asked. I smiled as I poured a cup of coffee for Steve, and then one for myself.
'Better, thanks.' I said, handing Steve his cup before picking up a cinnamon bagel. I looked to Tony as I took a sip of my coffee, smiling and blushing slightly as Steve's arm went around my waist, pulling me closer to him.
'Is my Bugatti still in your garage?' I asked over the rim of my mug, before taking another sip. He nodded.
'Yeah, why?' I shrugged.
'Rear suspension's a little loose, pistons need cleaning, and I might take a look at the catalytic convertor while I'm at it.' I explained. 'If that's ok?'
'I love it when you talk about cars.' Steve whispered huskily in my ear, pulling me tighter. What happened to the cute, innocent fourties boy? I asked myself as I blushed slightly at his comment.
Tony shrugged. 'Yeah, sure! Knock yourself out!' he said, giving Steve a 'look', before looking back to me. 'Figuratively, of course.'
I smiled. 'Of course.' I kissed Steve's cheek before heading off, towards the elevator.
