Sam
We went back upstairs and ordered pizza. Nat and Clint had come over and it seemed that they were staying. I smiled as I watched the two of them, sneakily trying to hide the loving glances at each other. Lexi had come back with them, it almost seemed like the two of us had been welcomed into the family with open arms. I looked over to Tony, who was standing beside Pepper, his arm resting naturally around her waist as he whispered something to her, making her giggle.
I smiled, before an arm went around my own waist, and Steve pulled me against him. I smiled up at him.
‘How was SHIELD?’ I asked. He groaned and buried his face in the crook of my neck. I laughed and he huffed, straightening up.
‘How was Nick?’ he groaned even louder and did the same thing. I patted his shoulder in mock comfort, and laughed.
‘I think these guys are having a bad influence on you.’ He laughed and lifted his head, looking at me with those sparkling, blue, playful eyes.
Should I tell him? I feel bad not telling him. But I don’t know how he’d react...
Just tell him already Sam! The longer you wait, the worse his reaction will be. Trust me, at the moment, he’ll have a fairly good reaction! A familiar voice chastised in my head. I looked over to see Lexi smirking at me. She did a ‘shove’ motion then pointed to Steve.
‘Pizza’ll be here in half an hour!’ Tony called out to the room. I smiled. What are the chances? I grabbed Steve’s hand and pulled him towards the elevator.
‘Come on! I want to show you something!’ he laughed and came along, raising an eyebrow when I asked JARVIS to take us down to the training level.
We stepped out into the well-equipped room and I turned to Steve. ‘Ok, so, please don’t freak out!’ He looked at me nervously and raised an eyebrow. I huffed before taking a breath and beginning to explain.
‘Ok, so... After my hands combusted in Nicks’ office, I started to remember things, things I had suppressed from Mexico.’ Steve nodded warily. I sighed and decided to just say it out.
‘It’s not just healing fast, or telekinesis, or flames. It’s elements. Not like earth, air, fire, water. Like; carbon, hydrogen, helium, lithium.’ He frowned slightly.
‘Yes, I can still make flames, and heal fast. But I can control the elements that exist all around us, make them do things, be things.’ He frowned, so I decided to show him. I held up a hand as he made to say something.
