I wake up to a strangely beautiful sight. Aaron Warner is still sitting there watching me calmly. He looks sleepy, but he immediately comes alert when I awaken.

"He's going to try and kill you. But I won't let him."

I nod, though his words can't seem to fully calm me down. Aaron was the one who kidnapped me in the first place. How can I trust that he doesn't want to kill me too?

Maybe the amount of time I've spent with him has given me too much trust in him.

He takes my hand and gives it a squeeze. I'm confused. "Why are you being so nice to me?"

"I've always been nice to you, love. You just don't see it."

We walk out of the bedroom and then down the stares. I can see Anderson glaring up at us, just waiting for us to come to him. He's terrifying.

I notice that Aaron lets go out of my hand, likely to please his father. I'm waiting anxiously for someone to speak until I realize that Anderson isn't intending to do much talking.

He's holding a gun that he hands to Aaron. "Shoot her."

Anderson points the gun towards me and I'm terrified. Warner keeps looking from me to him, and I can tell that he doesn't want to shoot me. The gun is still in his hands.

He slowly turns it to face his father instead and I feel my heart race.

I can't believe Anderson wants to kill me. And I can't believe that Aaron is protecting me.

"You wouldn't do it. You always do this but then don't do shit," Anderson laughs. "You're weak."

He slaps Aaron way harder than last time and the gun falls to the ground. Aaron still doesn't show emotion on his face, but I can feel his pain again.

I loathe Anderson. I've only known of his existence for merely a day, but he has managed to make my blood boil. He's managed to make me want to hurt him.

Aaron has hurt me with his actions, but he's never  put a hand on me aggressively. He may have hurt others, but he would never hurt me like that.

Maybe he is the way he is because of how horrible Anderson is. I don't like Warner, but I hate Anderson a whole lot more.

I speedily pick the gun off the ground and shoot Anderson in the chest. He looks at me, stunned and petrified at the same time. He didn't expect this from a 'weak' girl and I know it.

Before he can react, I take him by the throat. I find strength that I never knew I had before. I don't know if it's me or if it is coming from my powers.

He falls against the wall, and I send electricity through his body. I don't think it's enough to kill him, but I can tell it hurts. He's yelling out in agony and I take the gun to shoot him again.

Before I can pull the trigger, someone is pulling me back. He wraps his arm around me. "Em, stop."

"Just let me kill him!" I don't even register the words as they leave my mouth.

"You're not a killer. You've got him. You're alright, Em. I've got you."

It's Kenji. God, I've missed him so much. I was so worried about him surviving all of this. He's here to save me.

His eyes widen when he sees Aaron. Aaron moves to me defensively. "You can't take her."

"Aaron, it's Kenji. You can't keep me from my friends anymore."

He tries to grab my arm, but Kenji sticks a needle into his neck. I gasp until I realize it's just sedation. Warner begins to fall limp, and he falls into my arms.

He's so full of muscle that he's heavy for me to keep in place. Kenji helps me hold him.

"Should we just leave Anderson here? He's behind everything, Kenji."

"We can't take him back with us. It's too dangerous."

We're carrying Aaron out together and I see the tank that Kenji has ready. Kenji gets in the driving seat, and Warner is knocked unconscious next to me.

As the tank begins to move, his head falls into my lap. I feel butterflies and I realize that the awkwardness of the situation. I would say something, but he looks so peaceful and comfortable.

Kenji is laughing in the front seat. "Aww, you and Warner." He laughs again. "Or should I say Aaron as you called him."

"Oh shut up Kenji. And if you call him Aaron he'll probably kill you."

"Defending your kidnapper?"

"Let's get to the important stuff. Is Adam ok?"

"He's recovering. But yes, he's ok." Kenji pauses. "Were you the one that freed Juliette?"

I nod. "Warner offered me her freedom, so I went with him."

"Yeah, she's a pretty cool but crazy chick. She has lethal touch."

My eyes widen. I knew she had powers, but not that. "Lethal?"

"Yep. But really, what's the deal between you and Warner, princess?"

"Nothing," I blurt. I realize that my arm is wrapped around him.

"Doesn't seem like nothing. But I'm sorry you had to go through all of this, Em. You're going to like it at Omega Point."

I almost forgot. Anderson said he was holding hostages. I begin to panic. "But what about the people Anderson took?!

"We got them. You actually gave Anderson a pretty good distraction."

I smile. I know that everything isn't over, but it seems to maybe be getting better. I wonder what is going to happen to Aaron at Omega Point. I'm sure they're going to lock him up.

He can't take me away from my friends now.

We finally arrive, and it's a struggle to carry him again. It turns more into me dragging him. Kenji brings him to a cell and the worst part is that my heart doesn't want to say goodbye for now.
