It's Tuesday. Our first day of training.
The day of the week that Aaron works his chest. To say the least, I was amazed when I entered one of Sector 45's many training facilities. There's equipment, weights, treadmills, target practice...
Anything you could possibly need to build up your strength and endurance. That's exactly what Aaron wants all of us to do. He says that if we want to even stand a chance against Anderson, we have to.
I tried to argue, saying that I already beat Anderson once. Aaron said that it won't just be Anderson we're fighting this time, but whoever he has on his side. Anderson is the Supreme Commander; he likely can get any soldier he wants.
And plus, I didn't kill Anderson. Apparently he's pretty durable.
Right now, I'm in a short tank top and sweats, sitting beside Kenji and my bottle of water. He thinks that we've stopped for a breather, but in reality, I stopped because I wanted to watch Aaron.
I'm too proud to admit it though.
He's wearing something unusual; very different from his usual suit. Grey sweatpants and a compressed black shirt. Sweat drips down from his golden hair onto his perfect face as he takes a glimpse back.
Kenji told me the bar that he is using is called an Olympic Bar, which weighs forty-five bounds. Aaron has three forty-five pound weights on each side of the bar. He's bench-pressing three hundred and fifteen pounds (not including the bar).
I'm so captivated. He lifts it almost effortlessly, and as he raises it higher, his sweatpants fall down just slightly.
I can see a tattoo peaking. HELL IS EMPTY AND ALL OF THE DEVILS ARE HERE.
It's extremely hard for me to not foam at the mouth. Aaron never once realizes how beautiful he is. He always focuses on those wretched scars on his back.
He's built perfectly. It's not just that either. He's so strong, and suddenly I understand why he's always been able to overpower me.
If Aaron has always trained like this, I have my answer. I'm so hopelessly attracted to and impressed by him right now.
"You alright there, princess?" Kenji asks with a smirk as he peers over at me.
"I-I'm fine. Why are you asking?"
Kenji snaps his fingers and I flinch, my gaze finally drifting away from Aaron. "Geez. I thought he had you in some kind of trance or something."
"Why would you think that?" I ask innocently.
"You haven't taken your eyes off him since he's sat down there. And he's been there for quite a bit..."
"I've never seen him in sweatpants before," I admit quietly.
"I bet you've seen him in less," Kenji remarks.
I punch his shoulder and he actually finches. "Careful there, Em. You're actually getting kind of strong. That hurt."
"Good," I say with a laugh. "I think I'm just going to jog on the treadmill.
Kenji stands up, following me. "Fine, I'll join you."
As we get onto treadmills next to each other, I still can't pry my eyes from Aaron as he continues to work out. I'm pretty sure he just increased the weight of what he's lifting. I can hardly breathe.
"Em. You said you wanted to go on the treadmills just so you could work out and get a view of Warner, didn't you?"
I smirk. "Maybe."
He shakes his head as we continue running at the same pace. I'm so out of it, my thoughts spinning about defeating Anderson and how much I adore Aaron.
Suddenly, my treadmill stops moving and I pause. Aaron's standing there smirking and I'm frozen in place.
How is it that he manages to make me so nervous even while we're already in a relationship?
"Hey, Aaron," I greet with a smile.
"Lia, I couldn't help but notice that you've been distracted throughout your training."
I jump off the treadmill, going on my tippy-toes so I can rest my hand on his shoulder. He looks down.
"I have no clue what you're talking about."
"Love, you aren't good at hiding things."
Kenji stops his treadmill soon after, groaning. "You two really are disgusting."
Warner gives him a look. "I don't recall asking for your opinion, Kishimoto."
"Yeah, well, it's really hard to train Em when she spends all of her time staring at you."
Aaron looks at me, amused. I feel so embarrassed right now. I should be able to control myself better, but around him, it is very hard. "Not true-"
"Then perhaps Lia and I should have some of our own personal training sessions. Would you like that, love?"
I smile. "I would."
"Great. Being ditched again," Kenji mumbles.
"I'm not ditching you, Kenj. I can make time for two trainers in one day."
"We all know who the favorite one is."
I laugh. "Don't get so cocky, Aaron."
Kenji's gaze suddenly shifts to the other side of the room. He turns back to Aaron and I skeptically. "Princess. Why is Carven staring at you like some kind of creep? Kind of like how you were staring at Warner, but more evil-like and weird because he isn't dating you."
"It's probably just the same old him. Not being able to get over his old feelings for me," I scoff.
"I'll kill him if I have to," Aaron threatens.
Kenji laughs. "Easy there, blondie."
I look over and notice that Kenji is telling the truth. Carven is looking at me weird. I sigh, knowing that he doesn't even truly deserve to be here. He doesn't care about the Omega Point members and he never will.
"I think I'm going to have to end your training early, love."
"Why's that?"
"You promised me something."
My heart is pounding. "See you later, Kenji."
"Where are you going-"
Aaron and I head into the elevator, the tension still rising between us. "I don't go back on promises," I say as he looks at me longingly.
He's in a rush to get back to our room as he kisses my neck and slams the door shut. "I hope not, love."
