I'm speeding into Kenji's room in a chaotic rush, praying that Adam isn't in here. I have so much I have to say, but Kenji is the only person I think I can tell it too.

I just hope he won't freak out.

I'm relieved to see that there is no sight of Adam. Kenji is asleep on his bed, and I immediately start to exit when I realize I'm going to wake him.

"Leaving already, princess?"

I turn around slowly. "Sorry, I didn't know you were sleeping."

"Nah, just resting my eyes. What's wrong, Em?"

"I have a bit of a situation, and you're the only one I can really talk to here... But now that I'm thinking about it, I probably shouldn't bother you with my own drama."

Kenji laughs. "I'd actually LOVE to hear your drama. It gets boring around here sometimes."

I sit down next to Kenji and take a deep breath. "How do I start..."

"So, before you came in the other day, Adam was telling me how much he hates Warner."

"I mean, I hate him too," Kenji shrugs. "Don't blame the dude. Warner pisses me off. "

"But then Adam kissed me."

Kenji's jaw drops. "He kissed you?! I mean I know he likes you, but damn."

"You knew?"

"Yeah, the dude never stops talking about how he is much better for you than Warner and how how he's going to make a move on you. I didn't think he had the guts to do it though."

"You're not going to like the next part then."

"The what-"

"Then I visited Warner, who kissed me right after he shot Adam during our escape. He told me how he knows I enjoyed the kiss, and then I realized he was right... and then today we kissed again."

Kenji is silent, and it's scaring me.

"The worst part is that I could be with Adam, the good guy who is helping save the world. But the only kiss that felt good was from our enemy."

It felt good to get all of it out, but now I don't know if I sound crazy and backstabbing. Kenji could hate me. Everyone will hate me for kissing the enemy while innocent people are dying.

Adam will never forgive me.

Kenji looks up. "Things are crazier than that, Em. Wanna know a fun fact?"

"What?"

"Adam and Warner are brothers."

I feel the mood shift. My body grows tense at the news. Adam and Aaron Anderson. Brothers.

I just kissed two brothers. One is with Omega Point and one is with the Reestablishment. And both of them hate each other.

Oh god.

"Oh no. No, no, no..."

Kenji half-smiles awkwardly. "Surprise... you kissed two guys from the same bloodline."

I lightly shove Kenji. "Save it, Kenj."

I bury my head in his shoulder. I'm in the middle of a mess that I didn't intend to create. I never meant to lead Adam on and I never meant to let my feelings make me betray my loyalties to Omega Point.

The door opens and Adam walks in. The one person I did not want to see right now. His face lights up when he sees me and his immediate reaction is to pull me into his arms.
