There's rope around my hands. Adam is the one holding me in place, and it is very inconvenient. He is the only other one that my powers don't work on. I can't do anything to him.

The only thing I could have used to fight him is tied together. My hands. I could have punched him instead of electrocuting him, but I wasn't quick enough.

I can't believe they would do this to me.

"Adam, this might not be necessary-" Kenji intercepts.

Ian, one of the Omega Point members with no abilities, deathly stares at Kenji. "It is. For a traitor."

He's tall and lanky, and he has a lot of talk for someone without powers. Ian is a face that I haven't come across that many times. Why did he end up as one of the survivors if he is powerless?

Kenji is weakly defending me. He's against it, but he could stop it if he wanted to. I'm kicking and begging as they take me down to the basement that James and Kenji once hid in.

"You're sick," I spit at Adam.

I'm tied to a chair now. "Not as sick as your boyfriend."

He bends down, his hands holding onto the rope that binds my hands together. "Start talking, Emilia. Tell us what Warner is trying to do against us and tell us why he sent you here."

"Don't you understand?! Warner didn't send me here. I came because he told me what happened to Omega Point and I wanted to make sure everyone was ok."

"Liar." Adam pushes the chair over so I'm on the ground. I let out a small cry as the chair hits the ground. I can only look upward as I try to get out of the rope.

"She won't say anything, Ian. You know who you have to get."

There's a deafening silence before I hear the sound of boots clanking. It can't be...

I squeeze my eyes shut and then open. I look up to see someone I thought was dead. "Carven... how?"

"You thought you killed me. That's a cruel concern to have in the first place."

"Don't act like you didn't hand me over to the Reestablishment. If it were someone other than Warner, I could be dead."

Carven smirks. "You used to hate Warner. Now all the sudden he's your loverboy. Did he brainwash you or something? You never had a thing for blondes."

I grit my teeth, wishing I could just force mg way out of the ropes. I feel like a caged monster and that all of my energy might burst out of me at any given second.

"Shut up."

"I'm here to get information out of you, my darling."

He roughly picks the chair back up and my head hits the back of it. Ouch.

I can see Adam and Ian watching. Adam is everything I never thought he would be. "Shouldn't the two of you hate each other? Adam 'stole' you from me, and Adam, you know what Carven did to me. How could you?!"

Carven shrugs. "We're united by one purpose. Rebellion."

I stare at Adam wide-eyed. "How can you believe him? Carven has been loyal to the Reestablishment forever and he still is. He'll betray you just like he betrayed me."

Carven grabs my chin. "People can change. Just like your precious little Warner. Where is he anyways?"

I shake my head in disbelief. "He'll be here soon. And then he will kill all of you for holding me hostage."

Carven caresses my hair, and then kisses my forehead. He does it slowly, just to rub it in. He's enjoying every second of my misery.

"You're funny, darling," Carven whispers. "Now tell us what Warner is planning. Why did you go with him?"

I can actually feel my body about to explode with rage. I've told them over and over again why I was with him. I would never truly hurt my friends, and I just want to electrocute something. I want to just have a never ending outburst. Why does no one trust me? They trust a Reestablishment loyal solider over me now, even one that has betrayed me in the past.

"Because I love him! Are you happy?"

Carven's expression shifts. "You... love him?"

It's my turn to smirk. "What? Mad it's not you?"

"I should kill you," he threatens. "But I have something much more fun in mind," Carven teases.

He looks back at Adam. "Should I do it?"

I don't know what Carven is planning on doing, but I give Adam pleading eyes because I know it will be nothing good.

"Do it," Adam says emotionlessly.

I feel genuine fear as Carven comes closer. "Very recently I have discovered that I have powers of my own. That is one of the reasons I came to Omega Point."

My heart is thumping. "What are your powers?"

He smirks slowly. "Mind control."

I gasp. I want to back up and get far away, but there is no where to back up too. I'm tied to a chair, and there is nowhere to run. Even if I managed to get out of the rope, Adam and Ian would just stop me.

Kenji isn't down here. I can't tell if it's because they wouldn't let him in or because he couldn't bare to see them do this to me. He could have stopped them.

I want to break down and cry. They can't do this to me. Adam was supposed to be my friend. They can't make me forget everything.

They can't make me forget him. Oh god, I can't forget Aaron. Thai is the first time I've experienced such strong and dangerous love. He's everything I've searched for my entire life.

The love I have with him is full of thrills and new experiences that can be dangerous. His love is reckless and passionate. It's much more than a bland relationship.

"Please don't. Please, I'll do anything."

"As much I love to hear you beg, no. This is going to happen," Carven says.

"Adam," I plead.

"Don't look at him. Once he knew of my powers, this was partially his idea."

"What? So he can brainwash me into loving him?"

Carven sighs. "Probably. But I have other plans."

"Carven, no. I'm begging you-"

"Too late," he whispers.

I feel my mind reset.
