My head is buried into the crook of Aaron's neck. His gorgeously blonde hair touches mine, and my arms are wrapped around his bare chest. My eyes slowly blink open as I observe him. So peaceful. So beautiful.

My eyes glance over at the alarm clock beside our bed, and I realize that we've overslept by at least an hour or two. Aaron is usually up extremely early and up way before me. This is a strange sight.

We spent the night together. And waking up in his arms is such a blessing.

All of my life, I've waited for someone to love me like this. I've waited for someone that is dangerous and unpredictable, but also gentle and compassionate. Aaron is so many things, and he is mine.

I see his emerald eyes open. "Good morning, love."

Aaron's morning voice is raspy but sweet. The recipe for my weakness. I smile. "Good morning, Aaron. You must have been tired."

His eyes flicker over to the alarm clock just mine did moments ago. "Not exactly. You just relax me, Lia."

I smile and try to get out of his arms. I almost gasp as I'm pulled against his chest. "Where do you think you're going?"

"To start our training for the day?"

"We have time," Aaron whispers.

I allow myself to relax and fall back against him.

I'm in one of the locker rooms and I'm braiding my ponytail. Once I finish and exit the locker room, I collide with Adam. I look up at him, hoping that there isn't still awkwardness between us.

"Emilia," he says in a stiff tone.

"Adam... how has your morning been?"

I notice that since we've moved here, Adam has buzzed his dark hair. I guess we all have changed in many different ways.

"Juliette's been avoiding me, so not great," he huffs.

I reject him, so he moves on to Juliette. Intresting.

"How come?"

"We seem to have different... outlooks on the situation we're in. I mean seriously, do you and her really trust Warner?"

I feel my eyes darken as I cross my arms. Adam doesn't seem to understand that Aaron and I are in a relationship. It's like he's blocked out the idea because he hates it so much. "Of course I trust him. You know this, Adam."

"Your and Juliette's powers are unpredictable. You need to be careful."

I shake my head. "I'm quite capable of controlling my powers, Adam. So if you'll excuse me, I'm going to train."

I hear him calling after me, but I choose to ignore it. One day, Adam will realize how his words affect others and he'll choose to not share them. He has had issues with everyone here except James, and I'm not surprised.

Almost as soon as I walk in, I realize that Carven is following me. Just the person I didn't want to see. He tries to smile, dark curls framing his face. "Emilia, darling, wait up."

"Don't call me that," I say.

"Ok, fine. But I need to talk to you-"
