chapter 3

Vaidehi sharma's POV:

I stepped into the cabin, my nerves on edge. I silently chanted to myself, 'Vaidehi, stay calm, stay calm, don't mess up this time!' My eyes met the CEO's, and I was taken aback by his handsome appearance in his attire. I blinked several times to compose myself, took a deep breath, and sat confidently as he gestured for me to take a seat. "Good morning, Mr. Shekhawat" I said, trying to sound calm. He nodded in response, his eyes never leaving mine.

Aayansh: "Good morning, Vaidehi sharma. Thank you for coming in today. Please, proceed with your introduction."

Vaidehi: "Good morning, Mr. Shekhawat. With experience in marketing, I've developed a strong skill set in strategy development, team management, and data analysis. I'm interested in this position because of the company's commitment to innovation and excellence."

Aayansh: "Very well. Your resume shows promise. Can you elaborate on your experience in marketing strategy development?"

Vaidehi: "Yes, sir. In my previous role at ABC Corporation, I developed and implemented a marketing strategy that resulted in a 25%"

Mr 'aayansh shekhawat' he asked me many type of questions about marketing strategy and all after 1hour he ended the interview!

Aayansh: "Thank you, Vaidehi. We'll review your application and be in touch soon to discuss the next steps."

Vaidehi: "Thank you, Mr. Shekhawat."

Aayansh shekhawat's (small)pov:

As I was conducting her interview, I observed that she was really confident in being herself! She had an attitude in her talk and walk, but a positive one! That impressed me. After she left the interview room, I checked her files and re-read everything.

Aayansh shekhawat's POV ends

Vaidehi sharma's POV:

After giving the interview, I went to Aarohi's apartment, but only to find she wasn't there! So I tried to call her, but she texted me: "Vaidehi, I'm out of town." My mood soured, and I started walking alone through the road; it was already 7 pm. Suddenly, it started raining. I felt raindrops falling on my face and body, and I opened my arms, looking up at the sky, letting the rain fall on me and wash away my stress. This was the first rain of the year, a constant reminder of my birthday, which was coming. Tears rolled down my eyes but got mixed with raindrops. I felt a wave of emptiness. "Maa, I miss you," I mumbled, looking at the sky.

Flashback starts
"Papa, why aren't you telling me the truth? Who killed Maa? Why won't you tell me about my Maa? I have a right to know about her!" I banged my room door, which my family had locked. My dad was standing outside the room. I sat down, hugging my knees closer to my chest, and screamed out, crying, "I don't believe you guys! You're all bad, you did something to my Maa. I will never forgive you all!"

These were the words of 8-year-old Vaidehi, who, at an age where every child usually plays and enjoys their life, was suffering through hers.

Flashback ends

Suddenly, I heard a car horn... I came back to my senses. I looked back and saw a car coming towards me, and I moved back fast. If I hadn't moved quickly, it would have been a big accident, or I could say I would have died there! I saw the car driver yelling at me, "Aree, madam, marna hai to dusre car ke niche ghuso! Mera car hi aapko Mila hai?" I replied, "Sorry, bhaiya." I saw an auto coming and sat down in it, being all drenched in rain.
('Mam did you have only find my car to die?' 'Sorry brother')

Then I was lying on the bed, waiting for my food to be delivered. After waiting for 30 minutes, I heard the bell ring! I ran towards the main door with my phone in hand, and as I opened the door, a text popped up on my phone. I saw the message: "Miss Vaidehi Sharma, I'm Mrs. Kapoor from Sunshine Corporation. Congratulations, you are selected for the position! From tomorrow, you will have to join our company, and we will tell you everything about your position and work at the office. May you have a great night." After reading this text, I jumped in happiness and hugged the teenage delivery boy, "Bro, yayyy! I'm selected... Woahhhh, I'm so happy!" I said. The delivery boy looked at me with a weird expression, and when I realized what I had done, I passed him a nervous smile. Then I took my food and paid him. I munched my food happily, took my phone, and looked at my mom's photo, saying, "Maa, I love you." After eating,I called aarohi and tell her about my interview and I got selected she was shocked at first then she sounded so happy for myself too! Then I lay down on bed after so many days I get really happy then fell asleep.
